The one question I want answered at the next Dem debate
Not that it will be asked, but I would love to see each candidate (OK, Dennis won't be there, but I think I know how he'd answer) asked, "If Bush and/or Cheney are being either investigated or charged with crimes, and you are elected President, will you state now that you would not pardon the President and/or Vice President, but let justice run it's course, and the chips fall where they may. Yes or no, please".

I am scared to death that if there are any legal proceedings charging shrub or Darth with any of the crimes they so richly deserve to be charged with, we will get one of those lame "it's time for the country to start healing, and dragging a former president through a lengthy legal proceeding will be too hard on the nation" BS lines. I want each candidate on record now saying that they would or would not consider pardoning the crooks/war criminals.

The best way for this country to heal, is with justice being served for anyone in this administration who has committed a crime. And Lord know there are many.

2. I guess it depends on who people elect...
and since Joe has been very vocal about it, I can say with a degree of confidence, that you would get a 'yes' answer from him.(meaning that he would NOT pardon them-at all.)

5. His campaign doesn't have a storefront office.
His is an in-home office, disqualifying him from the debate.

6. The power to pardon should be stripped from the executive branch. nt

10. Supposedly. I don't see it though.
There could at least be the ability to overturn a pardon the same way you overturn a veto.

11. It's interesting to wonder how each of the candidates would answer. I agree
with Corona -- I think Joe would say "Yes, I will NOT pardon them." Not sure how the others would respond. I'd love to have the question asked, though!!

12. It's more likely they'll be asked
about who their favorite is on "Dancing With The Stars". The so-called "debates" (both parties) are a hideous carnie sideshow.
