So, is Alan Keyes running for president again?
I assume he is (even though yesterday was the first I've heard of it) since he was given Gilmore's old spot on stage.

And if he is running, does he have a store front campaign office in Iowa?

3. f'n weird this guy is
Keyes has indeed filed the required papers. He did announce, in September, that he is a candidate. And he scored two percent support in the Register’s October poll, although he showed zero percent support in the same poll in November. As far as having a campaign office and at least one full-time paid staffer, well, that’s where things get a little fuzzy. And that, it turns out, is a bit of a sore spot for the candidate, who came to the media Spin Room to confront anyone who had the slightest doubt that he belonged up there with the other candidates.

4. Keyes seems to flicker in and out of the national scene -- kind of like
a viral affliction of some kind that the doctors can treat but can't cure.

There doesn't seem to be a great hunger across the land for a Keyes presidency.

6. On Wonkette they are claiming that an "angry black Kermit wants his voice back."
I think the repugs are too afraid to keep him from debating. They might actually come across as racist, imagine that....

7. the guy's a nut
and all i've read everywhere today was that he was a huge distraction during the debate (didn't see it, so i'm taking others' word for it).

why would the Register allow him in, and not DK. from what i read from the link i posted above, he doesn't meet all the requirements.

Both of them do get, "Verrrrrry angry. Very angry indeed."

9. Interesting thing in the article
On his website you sign a pledge of support that includes going out and finding five other people to sign the pledge of support (and find five people) and so on and so on.

He's the Amway of GOP candidates, using a pyramid scheme to try and get supporters.

11. They explained it well on MSNBC yesterday... it's his job!
A guest said that Keyes runs for President to raise money, then pays himself a salary as campaign director.
