Like It Or Not, You Have To Play Politics If You Desire To Be A Politician And Win
But you don't have to play the game dirty if you have a choice.....I don't like out politicians playing that way and I hate seeing us on Du play it either, it accomplishes nothing more than leaving another feeling angry and resentful and wishing to do the same back...and in doing so, the issue gets lost always..

Now all this grade school back and forth, he said, she said back and forth bickering along with how mine is bigger than yours na na na na is getting us nowhere fast and makes anyone who acts that way appear stupid, if you doubt that, your not paying attention to the reality of politics in today's world..

I just wanted to get my rant in, after all, I couldn't sound any worse that alot here on this site here lately, I for one have never attempted to appear on DU as anything other than I am, a poorly misinformed citizen of this country but with a strong desire to weed out fact from fiction in regards to issues that of are extreme importance and even those once in a while that are merely mundane along with a real desire to learn all that I can...

1. If you want to be taken seriously and wish to help a viable candidate for the most esteemed office in this country you should lay down your reasoning skills based on factual and practical information in an un faux-repub-conserv like style of discussion by using legitimate links to back up claims of misdeeds of a particular candidate and or political servant along with the good points one wishes to impart to the rest of us in an effort to garner support.

2. I honestly feel that people should take time to investigate on their own just how hard it is to deal in today's political circus style arena that most of our Dem's are having to deal with even if they don't exactly like having to play ball the way the rules seem to have been set in stone.

3. It is beyond ignorance to believe that simply because someone has a Dem before their name such means they are fully and without reservation behind the platform of what this party represents for the American citizens. It is more than obvious some members can be viewed as nothing more than plants and or disrupter's for democracy to flourish in a manner benefiting all citizens of this country and not an elite few and as such should be called out but not before offering valid and concise proof of ones claim.

4. I have no desire to be a part of group that values dishonesty by using smear tactics. propaganda, bigotry, and or mean spirited actions as a means to win regardless of the causalities such a playing field leaves with no more care about it's victims than a lioness has once it's devoured its meal.

5. When people talk about a grassroots effort one should be aware of its meaning and realize the value such organized groups benefit the citizens as a whole. Sometimes, what is needed for changed begins to emerge from the bottom up, not the top, we the people are the bottom, therefore we emerge from the roots of grass that have verily been trampled on for far too long. Like grassroots tend to do with the right amount of fertilizer, it spreads, hence "grassroots" movements are born. We need more of them than ever before. We need people to nurture its growth, not hinder its very survival which is how I view some of what is going on in today's political spectrum regarding the Dem party.

6. To ignore the fact that the candidates of the republican party are the worse crop of candidates that this country has ever seen from one party and not putting more highlighted truths that even the Dem's lightest weight candidate is more than superior to any repub in this race is putting yourselves in jeopardy of once again allowing ignorant fools ie repubs to continue to tear down this country's very fabric of design by continuing its march to destroy democracy in American little by little and continue to the drum beat of war, an enterprise that is aiding no one but those that profit with monetary gain and newsflash, it won't be you or I.

7. Some Dur's believe that some youths are perhaps making Du look bad these days with the rhetoric that gets bandied about, I don't, I have talked to many youth in regards to politics and any of those that are taking their time to participate in this board instead of partying late nights more than likely know exactly what they are talking about and are more then likely able to admit when they are wrong verses some of us old timers. So don't be fooled, just visit some of the right-winged ragged out sites and you will have to admit it is the adult population who are more likely to expound on their ignorance and even revel in it with no regard to backtrack if when faced with a reading the known truth that denys a claim to the contrary they continue to make, its more than eerie to have to bare witness to such.

8. Like it or not this country's resident population consists of many different types of people with more than enough differences in ideologies to fill yankee stadium if put one on top of the other so do we really have to deal with those we perceive to be ignorant and or even evil? Yes we do, like it or not if we still wish to live in a free society one need take the good with the bad but one thing we DO NOT have to live with, and that is the BAD deciding what laws we as a whole need live by, that is where I draw the line and should you also and so should those that represent us in an arena where truth seemingly holds less value than greed and power plays...

9. Ignoring our history does nothing more than ensure the fact that it will surely repeat itself and often not in a beneficial way for American citizens as a whole.

10. And like it or not, politics is a game, nothing short of a serious chess match where the players sole goal is to win, but where does it say that one must cheat in order to win? Where is it written that one needs to distract the other player with mundane antidotes that mean little and say even less as he or she studiously attempts to make their next move? Why is it so hard to believe that a game can be played fairly and a winner found that ends with a mutual admiration and a shaking of hands?

11. It is time that we the people do not continue to play the game the same way that those up on Capitol hill are being forced to do far to often, we want politics and or politicians to change the way they play and do business?

Well than I would say to we the people, begin the change at the grassroots level, and by the time it spreads if properly maintained it will cover all those weedy patches with a bright shiny green blanket of grass and once renewed with healthy vigor, a healthy amount of consistent fertilizer should never be forgotten to be used in order that we be assured that it will never go back to it's heyday of appearing trampled down into a mere dirt filled patch with dark bare twigs peaking out of the worn downed soil.

12. My point is simply this, play with dignity and compassion, work with factual precision grown out of truths and the caring of justice and honesty becoming common place, highly valued, that which in this case actually is meant to be viewed as our democracy in real action for those that might need confirmation I am NOT talking about a man made lawn but our own democratic nation, land of the free, home of the brave and I would hope to add, a place where intelligence is a value and compassion is common place...

And I would hope that Du is presented in the same way from now on as I would hope you would too, don't let the naysayers, the childish freepers who like to play hide and seek in cy-ber space or those that are unable to look beyond their own little property lines stop you from planting those seeds to ensure the roots begin to spread, it only takes a few you know...just a few...

End of Rant, goodbye, good luck, and God Bless

no need to take note of my added religious content at the end, I am but a single citizen, not representing anyone but myself, it is simply something I liked adding and it hurt no one though I have no desire to hear my leadership do the same, such sends the wrong message to the uninformed I believe when someone in a power situation uses it, it becomes distorted and unreal, in my view anyway....
