3. Fingers Crossed......
I hope that Clinton and Obama have done enough damage to each other that Edwards just skates to victory. I've just made up my mind this last couple of weeks, but if one of the top two has to win in Iowa, I hope it's Obama. At this point, I can't see myself supporting HRC, not even in the general.

6. this is the only hope of the Hillarites
Edited on Tue Dec-18-07 06:23 PM by JackORoses
Clinton has destroyed her chances in Iowa by attacking Obama.
Her hope is that he will be so damaged that it gives Edwards the win.
She does not see him as a threat.

The Hillarite standards for Victory just keep getting lower and lower.
Next thing you know they'll all decide to make Edwards their second choice to assure things go as planned.

11. Why would Obama be more of a threat to Hillary than Edwards?
Please explain.

13. Because Obama can win NH, SC, and potentially NV
Edwards is pulling up a distant 3rd in each of these states.

Also, Edwards does not have the funding to be competitive in the larger states.

14. LOL, you really don't understand how this works do you?
#1: The winner of Iowa gets a HUGE media push, Kerry was polling at single digits in all of the post Iowa States, actually he was polling single digits in Iowa too, until he won it. Then he steamrolled over everyone.

#2: Edwards can't win in South Carolina? You do realize he's from North Carolina and he won South Carolina in 2004 right?

17. Right....just was reminded in another thread that Edwards' acceptance of
matching funds makes him a better opponent for Hillary. Does make sense if you are Hillary.

15. Definitely more likely than Hillary winning the Iowa caucus.
I think it's all going to come down to a race between Obama and Edwards, and not just in Iowa.
