Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 12:41 AM by Big Blue Marble
What exactly has she changed? Where has she been the leader for change? I am not talking about the
any changes that the first Clinton administration enacted. I am talking about change that she initiated
that have made differences in many lives. She can claim thirty five years of experience, but 35 years of
change?

33. She learned that relatives of politicians
can get high paying jobs on corporate boards by serving on the board of Walmart.

It was valuable experience indeed.

34. Love The Revisionist History About Walmart That Both Al Franken And Bill Maher Bash People For
It's not true, and stop looking for a sound bite. Hillary's time with Walmart was with Sam, and she fought for workers rights. They hated her, big time!

we might as well through it all in.

20. Here is one reference
This isn't what I saw, but it's a direct quote so it's better anyway.

"Then she added a new line-- that she had a role in the Irish peace process. "I was deeply involved in the Irish peace process," Clinton said. "And I know it’s frustrating. It took years before the Catholics and the Protestants before Sinn Fein and you know, the DUP would even talk to each other," she added referring to the once-warring parties."

9. Hippi in Arkansas, Arkansas Children's Hospital
I do know she made some changes in Arkansas - I also know a lot of people in Arkansas hate the changes she made.

However, she just was not the President in the 90's and it is ridiculous that she is taken credit for everything that was done then.

13. Okay, as not a Hillary supporter even I know that she has...
for over 35 years been involved in polical and social issues, marching, lobbying the works(often times for causes I don't agree with)BUT: what she was working for and sometimes actually achieved was a change in something. TO denigrate that record is a personal insult, or at least I would take it as such. Especially if it was by a bunch of snot-nosed lazy assed ill educated spoiled brats who do all their ;fighting' on a computer, safe at home where meanies can't get them and they are not far from the other ectronic toys that occupy their brains time.'

One damned thing is certain as the sun rising, the young supporters of Obama are going to be a very bad thing for him if he gets the nomination. The average age os the actual people who cast ballots is that of their parents and grandparents and most have no tolerance for other peoples brats.

Here is what Hillary Rodham said back in the day when speaking at graduation at Wellesley College, and till believes this in her life

"The challenge now is to practice politics as the art of making what appears to be impossible, possible."

25. Where is HIllary getting this 35 years number?
Why does she get to count Bill's jobs as experience and her Lobbying as experience, but Obama does not get to count his Illinois years or his civil rights activities.

26. This is exactly why I ask the question.
Obama's years in Illinois as an activist,, a street organizer on the South side and his years
in the state legislature count for nothing. She gets to count everything she has done since
high school. That is what is called spin. I think they have both been great public servants
all of their live. We owe them both serious debts of gratitude.

Yet at this time the one we need to lead us out of this morass is Obama.

31. She's only 60 years old.
Claiming "35 years of change" would mean that she's been responsible for effecting "change" since the age of 25?

Wouldn't she still have been in law school at age 25 or just barely graduated?

She's done some fine work during her legal career. However, in reading over her bio, I just don't see where she can claim "35 years of change" in any respect. Talk about padding a résumé....

32. Wow. I wasn't a Hillary fan. But, I'm feelin' some heavy snark and arrogance
from those who don't like her. Makes me real uncomfortable. Hillary Clinton has been someone brain-wired into politics for most of her life. Maybe some of her so called changes haven't been perfect or the right ones for that time, but she has been using her quite a bit above average intelligence on constantly thinking of how to make this country better. Better for people who are NOT rich and privileged. Damn. I was sick of the Clintons, but if I keep getting this "get over it" negative vibe from Edwards and Obama supporters, I think I'll just stop messing with this political crap completely.

What a friggin let down by fellow democrats.
