Steve McMahon made the statement and I will not allow those who would like to use it against Obama to do so.

Edited to add: DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THE DISCUSSION? I wanted impressions of the discussion as it was in context, not critics of a soundbite.

1. Actually, I haven't considered that. Does Obama want to be the one to stand in the way...
of electing the first woman president?

4. McMahon made the comment in connection with Bill being thought of as "The First Black President"...
...along with the wave of enthusiasm and the movement that Obama is creating. I guess you had to see the discussion to get the correct context....which is why I was asking if anyone had seen it.

7. I understand the context, I just don't buy it.
It seems to suggest that the struggles of women in this country don't mean squat.

By the way, I'm voting for Obama.

3. I think it's pretty clear she will leave the field kicking and screaming.
But I don't think that has anything to do with race or gender.

5. The most pathetic..and predictable thing said yet
sorry..Skin color or gender entitles anyone to the Presidency..
I predict if they go that route, there will be a backlash like you've never seen before..

8. First Afro-American?
What? Do you care about his politics? He voted for the Patriot Act II...a Police State. No body is responsible for Obama's failure to do what is right for all Americans but himself.
