Edited on Sun Jan-06-08 11:22 AM by MalloyLiberal
This was on SNUFFULUPUGUS. He said he is staying in. George Snuffulupugus pressed further, he said through the convention.

1. that is good for Clinton
if his supporters went to Obama, it would be over. At the convention, Clinton has a chance.

27. Edwards is a fighter. He has a message to get out. This is more than just the Election for him, it
is the fight. Money is pouring into his campaign, despite the media blackout, because people know they need someone to speak for them. He made it clear, he is in it for the long haul.

13. we know she will be in it for the long haul.
She has the money. She has the superdelegates. Edwards and Obama split the "not Clinton" vote.

21. I disagree, the money can dry up and the superdelegates switch sides.
She has about a week to avoid being the next Muskie.

8. precisely. He's playing to his supporters
he's already spent a big chunk of what he can spend. He won't win a single primary, and if he comes in third in NH, NV and SC, as is likely, and gets trounced on Tsunami Tuesday, he'll drop out.

I'm sending $100 every two weeks to Edwards.

If you can't tell by the posts, polls, and support here, I have a newsflash for you...

The majority of DUers are behind Edwards. So are the Netroots.

He'll be around up to the convention.

Where he'll win.

20. yeah -- Obama and his CORPORATE money
His supporters don't seem to care that he's going to sell THEM out so fast it will be frightening. His INSURANCE lobbyists, as well as his HEALTH lobbyists - are sharpening their knives to feast on Obama supporters.

But hey -- it's ALL about the Bling, ain't it? :sarcasm:

:bounce:

Edwardians are very special people. They are true patriots :patriot: they are filled with compassion, and believe that giving a helping hand is not a hand out, but a hand up. Just like John Edwards.

9. So his cozy-up-to-Obama stategy may be backfiring
People are talking about things like, he made a deal with Obama, he's running for VP, etc. I don't think any of those are true, I think he's just trying to create a little 'winners circle' that includes just him and Obama. But by pushing it so blatantly he may be causing people to wonder what his intentions are. No one wants to back someone who is running for VP.

24. Edwards knows the M$M ignoring him now will be reversed by his impressive debate appearances.
He is an excellent campaigner and with additional funding will be the winner in November.

19. Edwards continues to be a total jerk
Edwards is a dirty mudslinger. He won't stop trying to hurt the Democratic nominee even after he loses. Actually, he's already lost, and all he's fighting for is second. Perhaps VP is his angle. I think its just vanity.

35. That's the kind of answer I expect
Vague unsupported accusations based on nothing that have nothing to do with the issue asked about or the previous comments that led up to it. If this is just trading insults, its my turn.

John Edwards is like Bob Dole with his sleazy hatchet jobs.

as time goes on. It's early days yet.

As a side benefit, maybe we won't have to wade through all those "When is Edwards Dropping Out?" posts.
