Poll question: What will MSM say if McCain comes in 2nd in NH?
We all know that MSM has declared McCain's 4th place showing in Iowa a tremendous victory.
He is the current frontrunner. He has the momentum.

However, McCain won NH in 2000 with 50% of the vote, and didn't come close to winning the nomination.
Here are the current averages from the major pollsters:

NH
McCain 34
Romney 29
Huckabee 12
9iu11iani 9

MI
Romney 20
Huckabee 19
McCain 13
9iu11iani 13

NV
9iu11iani 24
Romney 24
Huckabee 15
Thompson 10
McCain 7

SC
Huckabee 26
Romney 20
Thompson 14
McCain 13
9iu11iani 13

FL
9iu11iani 25
Huckabee 23
Romney 19
McCain 11

If McCain comes in 2nd in NH, what will the media say?

2. God, I really can't take 11 months of McCain..
..more specifically the media and punditry swooning over him. While I think they'll use kid gloves for whoever is the republican nominee I think it's going to be absolutely over the top and a love fest if the republican nominee is McCain. It's going to be horrifying.

3. Something about McCain being a Maverick..
Or a Goose, or an Iceman.

Honestly I don't care, their nominee isn't going to win no matter who it is. Unless they steal it again.

6. Won't say anything about McCain...the story will be that...
...either Obama has lost his momentum (if he doesn't win), Hillary is finished (if she doesn't win), Mittens is surging (if he beats McCain), or Fred "Van Winkle" Thompson woke up and had a bowl of Cheerios.

10. If McCain comes in second, he wins. If he comes in fourth, he wins. The media
won't let him die. He's a WAR HERO, dammit.

11. If he comes in second, especially to Romney, they'll say he's done.
They'll say Romney has his Mo back and McCain's campaign will implode.
