This is really STUPID.

Just say, "Bob Johnson speaks for himself, and his comments were out of line and unauthorized."

I cannot stand watching people defend the indefensible.

2. I think they're tarnishing their own reputation by not acknowledging
the reality of what he said.

7. Oddly, in Politics, brazen denial works better than apologies
The Clintons ar excellent politicians, and they know that if you screw up it is better to brazen it out than fess up.

I don't really fault them for that because it is correct, as a political reality. That's part of the reason Republicans hate them so... when you think you've got the goods on them you still don't have the goods on them.

This is something folks don't get about Hillary's refusal to apologize for the IWR vote. There is no political upside to it. Once you apologize for one thing, then people start thinking of more stuff for you to apologize for.

That kind of deep, shameless understanding of practical politics is the only reason I favor Hillary. I trust her to play to win in the genral election.

But it makes me cringe... it is always painful to watch.

3. Get Over it!
It is not relevant! Not at all relevant! It's in the same class as when someone is stood up on a date......Feeling hurt for about as nanosecond.

4. I think it is relevant
and I have not picked a candidate and am watching this dispassionately. There is no need for our candidates to stoop to this level.

5. "Get Over it!" is what the GOP told us to do in Florida '00 and Ohio '04
Nice to see the Clintonistas adopt the GOP mantra.

Now, regarding those Diebold machines in New Hampshire...

6. Bob Johnson has been drafting blacks into the Republican Party.
It does matter. There's something going on here, and it's not good. It's not good for the nation, let alone Obama, the Clintons, the Democrats, the Republicans.

It is not good for the nation.

But do you really feel that all of this is just whining? What do you feel the appropriate response should be?

9. I have just been watching the news
both US and BBC and the whole discussion about the race on our side is about race. It is even in the Indonesian papers framed this way. This could have been a positive upliftig campaign and the issues are being lost due to the sniping.
