Obama takes narrow lead over Clinton in Nevada
It looks like Hillary's vast lead last October has evaporated like a pot of water in the Black Rock Desert. This is from last October:

Clinton: 51 percent
Edwards: 14 percent
Obama: 11 percent
Richardson: 5 percent

http://www.rgj.com/blogs/inside-nevada-politics/2007/10/arg-does-nevada-poll.html

Now Obama has made a sandstorm of her 40% lead and has gone ahead in the race:

RENO, Nevada (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama took a small lead over rival Hillary Clinton in Nevada ahead of Saturday's caucus, the party's next contest, according to a poll released on Monday.

A Reno Gazette-Journal poll of 500 likely caucus goers found 32 percent favoring Obama, the junior senator from Illinois, 30 percent for Clinton, a senator from New York, and 27 percent for former Senator John Edwards of North Carolina.

With the poll's margin of error of 4.5 percentage points, it appeared that any of those three leading candidates could have a chance at the top prize in the Saturday caucus.

Nevada holds the third Democratic contest after Iowa, which Obama won, and New Hampshire, where Clinton emerged victorious. Edwards came in second in Iowa and third in New Hampshire.

8. Are we going to judge every poll now...
...because of what happened in NH?

OH please.

The candidates use polling, I can assure you.

Yes, sometimes people lie to pollsters. Sometimes they change
their mind right after they hang up the phone. There is a "margin
of error" in every poll.

Let's not become so cynical and extrapolate one situation onto
all polls that will be conducted until the end of time.

18. methods
There is at least one pollster working inside a campaign with a reputation for running bad polls with secret methods.

The whole thing is a mess, though, isn't it?

15. lol. what are you suggesting? That Obama is actually far
behind Clinton? That's a fantasy. He's made up a huge differential

19. Thanks from another Edwards supporter!
More like this, DUers. We're going to have to unite around a candidate, whoever that may be, eventually. Supporting your candidate doesn't mean you have to hate the others. (Save that for the Republicans)

6. It appears that 10% are undecided. I wish Obama and Edwards could unite
then Hillary wouldn't even be in contention
