Edwards says Clinton and Obama are both deeply flawed celebrity candidates
http://marcambinder.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/01/annotating_an_edwards_memo_im.php

The lesson out of New Hampshire is that while the media have anointed two celebrity candidates, both are deeply flawed. Senator Clinton, we’ve known for a long time, is plagued with questions over electablility and continues to defend the status quo in Washington. Senator Obama's weakness was revealed Tuesday night: voters want a fighter. If Obama was thrown-off by Clinton’s attacks last week, that's nothing compared to what Republicans will throw at the nominee this fall. If Obama is too weak to stand up to Republicans, and Clinton is too corporate to offer voters real change, Democrats will seek a nominee who not only stands for change but who actually shows some fight.

7. Edwards will be the nominee.
That is my gut feeling. No mud has stuck to him so far that really means anything. Hair, expensive house, pretty boy, none of these things matter. Hillary and Obama will implode if they do not stop the personal attacks. People will eventually be turned off.
The reason Bush has been given a pass on personal attacks is because he and his administration would threaten and destroy people behind the scenes. Valerie Plame is evidence of this.:dem:

27. Really strange blog entry
Keep in mind the Atlantic Monthly is NOT a liberal publication. It used to be, many generations ago, but like many publications, was taken over by conservatives in the 1990's. That's when I cancelled my subscription.

My, my, my these are some really weird GOP dirty tricks this time around. Imagine what the GE is going to be like.

35. I think that
Someone is trying to drag the Edwards supporters into the battle with Obama and Hillary. Since the Edwards supporters have been above the crap, they want to get us "dirty"! I think we have proved that we are above all this, and this kind of tactic isn't going to work!

12. I'm one of those left wing "terra-ist traitors" and I just want this nightmare to end
I don't want to start the war in the other direction. The pendulum swing has got to stop.
All I want is:
The war in Iraq to end.
Habeas corpus back on the books
Torture off the books
My private life out of the hands of the NSA, FBI and CIA without a disinterested party having overseen the warrant.

And, I would like to mourn the dead and empathize with the survivors of the VICTIMS of 9/11 without being told we have to kill 1M Iraqis and Afgahnies to make up for the actions of a few Saudi's.

And your not going to do that by pissing in everybody's corn flakes you'll just get equal resistance.

15. These are the type of attacks that are not good, personal
attacks. Obama and Edward use way to many personal attacks. Candidates should talk issues. Discuss their voting, tell us why they voted like they did. All this mud throwing, personal attacks hurts all of us. Tell us what they have accomplished while in office, if anything.
