the Dem ticket is either Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama?

1. If Clinton heads our ticket, I think Bloomberg and Nader will get in.
If it is Obama, I think they won't.

The head of the ticket is obviously a much bigger deal than the VP. The VP choice probably won't influence them.
Plus, I highly doubt we will have a no-white-male ticket. Not that I care.

14. I thought it was a good move
rather than have him run against Hillary and pretty much guarantee a Republican winning in November

Bloomberg has made some good points-Washington is pretty much as dysfunctional as Brittany Spears' family

we need someone who is going to get the various factions to work together rather than being as divisive as Bush currently is

Obama has coattails; Hillary doesn't have squat

4. He'll have to decide to run prior to knowing our ticket.
I think he's in. He's flush with dough and basically has nothing else to do.

My guess is that his political instincts eclipse Perot's and he's able to pay to build a campaign scaffolding almost overnight. Media buys would be a snap. If we nominate Edwards, he runs to the center; if Obama, to the center; if Clinton, slightly to her left but still basically center.

All the Pukes are right-wingers, so the stage is set for a "problem-solving centrist" like Bloomberg.

7. Well, that's if she wins the nom. I'm not sure it's going to be easy for
either Sen. Clinton or Sen. Obama, and I'm worried that they are knocking the crap out of each other before we're even to February 5th.

Voters may decide they prefer cooler brows for adult problem-solving. I think candidate support on both sides right now is fluid and getting more fluid by the hour.

To me, the veep nom is crucial. We need to plan for 16-plus years and not just this November.

8. Indeed, the nasty smears will hurt the Dems and cause MANY to go with Bloomberg.

Including myself.

If Hillary wins the nomination after this race baiting, I will never forgive her or the Dem party.

It's 2008 and this was the absolutely last thing we needed in america. If this woman requires nasty smearing and divisive race baiting to win the party nomination, we do not need her running america.

10. On Bloomberg. I run hot and cold on the man. Prefer him to his predecessor
in New York City but would be chilly toward a Chuck Hagel veep nom, to say the least.

Just the same, he may find himself in the catbird seat by mid-spring or so and of course he's got the fat wallet to back up his ambition.

It's going to be interesting to watch what the man does.

12. About as interesting as watching paint dry. Man's a dullard - can't buy a whole
nation the way he bought a city - actually the smallest turnout in history...

13. Hi, robbedvoter. I was for Mark Green in that first contest, and of course would
have preferred Freddie in the second, but Bloomberg squeaked by Mark and there was no stopping him after that.

He's definitely not a scintillating speaker. Dubya has lowered that bar almost to ground level, so that's one thing. But still. Hagel can deliver an address. Rightwing though he be, Hagel can make it happen on the stump. Maybe Bloomberg will have the good sense to hire a speech coach. And some excellent writers, too. He's got enough saved up in his piggy bank to make that happen.

5. Yes, Bloomberg will foil the race for Hillary. Do not be confused.
This goes 10000% more after her race baiting smear campaign.

9. Will he invite the RNC convention to NYC again? Will he arrest protesters again?
Do we give a damn?
(not that I wouldn't love these 2 candidates on a ticket - but the gasbag is soo irrelevant!)

16. If his internal polls says he has a chance, he will run no matter who our nominee is.
