Hypothetical question
Let's say you have two politicians, called A and B.

Politician A is unscrupulous, deceptive, power-hungry, self-centered and ruthless. However, you agree with all the policies and issues of Politician A.

Politician B is friendly, kind, moralistic. Except, you don't agree with a majority of the policies and issues of Politician B.

Which politician would you vote for?

Note: A simple A or B will be fine. I'm only asking this question because I'm amazed that, despite the mountains of evidence of shady-tactics and foul-play that is constantly being released, certain posters still stick by their candidates. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I'm just trying to figure out why. Please don't make this into a flame war, it's a simple question: Politician A or B?

1. B--because
anyone with Politician A's characteristics could not be trusted to stay true to the issues I am for.

But this is a completely silly poll as two choices are so stark: A nice guy with whom we disagree, or a ruthless dishonest guy with whom we agree.

9. Hey :)
I personally do not find this poll silly. I think after we tally up the scores and extrapolate a trend, it will be quite telling.

<<<unscrupulous, deceptive, power-hungry, self-centered and ruthless>>>

You almost have to have those qualities to be successful in politics.

I am not really interested in whether or not I'd like to have a beer with or go to someone's barbecue to vote for them.

10. Hey calico :)
I personally disagree that you must have those qualities. I don't think politicians should all be like Richard Nixon.

11. Sorry Source, but I'd vote for neither.
Let's not forget WHO this person will be working for if elected to the W.H. It's time we get back to "the U.S. citizen's pay the president's salary", not the big corporations, or the media, or foreign countries. Yes, it all works in tandem, but the basics have been lost somewhere along the line.

12. I would suggest taking a close or second look at politician C or D.

If you only have two choices, it may be because the corporate media have led you to believe that.

15. Well, candidate C is no longer there...
BTW, I never said the two candidates were both democrates. I just said they're politicians.

17. Didn't Most Americans Think Bush* Was B?
And isn't this a new way of asking which candidate you would want as your best friend or to have a beer with?

In this scenario, the person is actually moralistic and honest.

20. How Do You Know Who Is Moral And Honest?
Those are subjective judgements... I have met a lot of decent people in my life but I have yet to meet one who is perfect...As a believer I don't believe we're perfect until we get to Heaven...

22. Politician A
Why would I vote for B if I don't agree with his/her policies? Besides, I'm voting for a president, not for a Prom King or Queen!!!!
