What the Hell?? The news says HRC is the only Demo in MI?
I just heard it. I'm listening to Thom Hartmann online and the news lady Rita Foley just said HRC is the only Democrat on the ballot in Michigan. WHAT THE FUCK? This is so goddamned wrong. I voted this morning. The ballot had Clinton, Kucinich, Gravel, Dodd, and undecided.

This is nothing short of election tampering!! WTF!!??

We need to do something about this, this is horse shit!

17. Royal Oak, and still own property there. Michigan shouldn't have been punished....
And, ALL candidates should have been on the ballots. Regardless of whomever you support, Michigan was the one state that needed to be heard in this election cycle.

Where are you from?

23. Oh, I thought I did, Michigan should NOT have been punished for moving their date up.
I think it's ridiculous that the one state that needed to be heard doesn't have all the candidates on the ballot.

Where in Detroit? West side, East side?

We had to leave the state, because I'm a systems administrator and my husband is an Electrical engineer.

25. You're certainly entitled to that opinion,
and seeing you express that opinion, I would never reply with a nasty comment about 'whining'.

That was incredibly rude. Non-constructive. Troll-like. VERY disappointing to sat the least.

I don't mind if you're enthusiastic about Hillary. I prefer to keep the discussion on a civil basis.

You STILL haven't answered my question. Shall I conclude that you think it's fine as long as it favors Senator Clinton? Enlighten me, please.

38. You need to re-read the OP. But I will explain.

The OP does not complain about Obama and Edwards not being on the ballot. The OP complains about Thom Hartmann claiming Hillary is "the only Democrat" on the ballot when Kucinich, Gravel and Dodd are all on the ballot as well.

Now, do you agree with the OP's complaint about Thom Hartmann?

40. OP?
Sorry, I don't know what OP is, feel free to edify me, thanks in advance.

If you look again at my original comment (please), I was not complaining about Thom. Never. I'm a huge fan of Thom.

It's the news organization that does the news on the breaks. Thom has nothing to do with that. I never said Thom was doing it. Someone called into his show and told him about it while I was listening and he was apalled.

Ok? Anything else that I need to clear up? Sorry for any confusion. Damn, I thought I was clear, guess I wasn't.

The DNC punished the Michigan delegates by asking DEMS to remove their names...Most complied.. Hillary DID NOT!

31. I've got no argument with whether
anybody removed themselves from the ballot. I'm merely pointing out that she wasn't the only one on the ballot. The radio news said she was the only one. That upset me, seemed dishonest.

Is it necessary to yell?

apparently, the broadcaster wasn't aware or chose to create tumult because of Hillary as the lone candidate on the ballot.

36. Wrong.
Edwards, Biden, and Richardson requested that their names be removed, and they were. Kucinich did also, but his paperwork was too late for the deadline. Probably something similar with Dodd, but he's out of the running anyway. Hillary is the only one who openly defied the DNC, since the whole point of moving the primary was so DLC Jennifer Granholm could guarantee Hillary a win.

5. This is how the MSM operates
Watch. They have been ignoring Gravel and Kucinich, and now they've started on Edwards. They are spending time boosting the candidacy of as-yet undeclared independent candidate Bloomberg. Soon they'll decide which Dem is the one that will most likely not rock their corporate boat, and then you'll only hear about them.

7. Has Gravel dropped out, or not?
I know Dodd has, so voting for him really wouldn't accomplish anything.

I'm hoping that all the Michigan residents voting for Kucinich who I have heard on Stephanie Miller and Thom Hartmann today represent a majority of Michigan voters. So far, nobody has admitted voting for Hillary, and I've seen one "uncommitted" here on DU.

32. NO Dem delegates will be awarded
The Dem primary means nothing in MI. When you vote in any other state's primary, you really are voting for a candidate's delegates to the convention where the delegates actually do the voting for a candidate. With no delegates being awarded in MI, voting for any of these Dems is a waste of your time and your vote. You should have asked for a Repug ballot, which you can do in MI, and made a difference in that primary which is awarding delegates. Move On was asking Dems to vote in the Repug primary and vote for Romney in order to help knock McCain out, thinking McCain will be a stronger candidate in the general against a Dem.

33. All the major News channels here in Detroit have made it
very clear that there are other candidates on the Democratic ballot, talk radio has been explaining it all day, including African American stations explaining how to vote uncommitted if your choice is Obama. If you live in Michigan, surely you've heard this. One newscaster on a national radio show is not "proof" of election tampering.
