Dean Raises $14 Million and Sets Record
Howard Dean has raised at least $14.1 million in the fourth quarter, bringing his annual total to almost $40 million and setting what aides say is a one-year record for Democratic fund-raising in a presidential race.

(p.s. Congrats to the Clark Campaign on their $10m quarter!)

1. ITYM
WE'VE raised almost 40 mil. Dean's great, but what makes this campaign so special is that we're doing a lot of the work. Apparently only 10% of aspiring presidential candidates know how to appeal to the people.

2. Just wait until the House Party monies are in....
I do know there are many who are attending tonight and are bringing their checkbooks. My daughter is and is a first-time donor.

19. LORD have mercy....
This guy is awesome. I've not seen such excitement over(and such bitter resentment of) a candidate in 20 years.

17. Me too!
I just decided last night to have a house party. The Dean campaign rocks. I got email instructions and a phone call from my area coordinator within a few minutes of signing up!! I also got a surprising amount of interest from my neighbors in attending.

10. Some numbers to consider
A Greyhound bus ticket from D.C. to Waco Texas is $145. Send Dean $145 and he will make sure Bush is sent back to Texas.

Buy Dean a cup of coffee every week. $1.50 x 52 = $78. Or, if you are really strapped for cash buy him a cup of coffee every month. $1.50 x 12 = $18

The point is, of course, find a sum of money you can afford to give, and give it. Don't go broke, don't go into debt, but maybe you give up going out to dinner once and send that money to Dean.

13. On to victory in Boston in August, and Washington in January!
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 10:45 AM by Padraig18
On January 20, 2005, I fully expect to hear the words "I, Howard Brush Dean, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of President of the United States of America..." and, God willing, I shall be there in person to hear them!

On to victory in November! :dem:

14. I'm having visions of Andrew Jackson's inauguration
Where every hillbilly and bumpkin from one end of the country to the other descended on Washington to witness 'People Powered Jackson' get put into office.

15. On January 21, 2005 I expect to hear

"George W. Bush, I solemnly charge you with Treason against the Constitution and People of the United States of America. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you as evidence in trial. You have the right to a lawyer before answering any questions. If you want a lawyer and cannot afford one, a lawyer will be appointed without cost to you."
