So, if we are in this financial mees WITH the Bush tax cuts....
what the hell good did the tax cuts to the wealthy and the corporations do?

And why are our Dem candidates not raising this issue with the passion they go after each other?

5. And having their smiley picture taken with chimpy talking about it.
What the F are they thinking?

This should be dubbed the "B*sh Economic Collapse" and repeated over and over again.

8. Ugh... they are thinking that the electorate is not thinking...
and sadly, that seems very accurate. :(

unless they are willing to rescind the tax cuts for the wealthy too pay for it. :silly:

9. Thank you!
Now see, that would make it sane...

to be fair, I bet that's what our candidates are talking about... but they need to SHOUT it... so that it doesn't sound so much like bush... I can't STAND the idea of giving even the slightest veneer of legitimacy to his crackpot bullshit ideas.

3. Not quite
You are in this financial mess because of-
A. Bush tax cuts for the wealthy
B. The Iraq war and its financial costs to the nation

The rest of the planet is in a pickle - America is the biggest economic market, but the time is getting close where foreign financial markets will be forced to acknowledge that your leadership is lacking fiscal responsibility....in otherwards - they don't trust you anymore, however stating such will lead to global financial ruin when the rooster finally comes home and the world recognizes that the American public cannot sustain itself anymore economically. We are all in this because we loaned you the money.....and you WASTED it. (not you personally - your government)

4. Excellent question - shouldn't it be NOW that we'd be reaping the GREATEST benefit?
I think it's so funny - the "conservative" economic lie:

Let's see how it's supposed to work...

Give the rich tax cuts, have them pay at LOWER rates than working people...

Break up those greedy unions to keep wages low...

Cut all social government spending down to the bare minimum. Maintain a iron-fisted tight hold on any suggestion that we could get gov't run health insurance isn't even on the table. Make sure that people get the message that if they don't work, in many cases at more than one job, they will LITERALLY die in the street...

Dismantle any kind of government oversight or regulations on business that might get in the way of their profits - have people dying of food poisoning, have kids licking on lead toys...

Allow publicly traded corporations to buy up each other and reduce the amount they'd have to compete against each other...

Do ALL OF THESE THINGS... and the rich will INVEST THEIR MONEY *HERE* - they'll hire *US* - They'll build their factories HERE...

BUT INSTEAD the money's FLOWING to other countries - even the NETHERLANDS...

It's a big fucking lie, people, and with the house of cards falling around our feet, the freepers are STILL living in a fantasy world, ready, I'm sure, to distance themselves from "Bush and the Democrats"....

10. What are you, some kind of SOCIALIST?
If we DON'T give the corporations big tax cuts, they won't be able to trickle them down to the little people that work for them.

God forbid we actually give tax relief to working people. That reeks of COMMUNISM.

I won't have you run down corporations. That's unamerican!

:sarcasm:
