"We do that in Illinois" isn't going to work out. Clinton will quote people in Illinois saying it's done to avoid accountability.

Clinton's "you never take responsibility for a vote" line of attack will be vindicated.

I'm guessing she knew about the bungling issue but kept it to herself in the last debate.

3. Obama comeback:
"At least I don't bungle a vote on purpose!"

Clinton: How would we ever know that for certain?

9. Opportunity For Edwards
"At least I own up to my bad votes and admit I was wrong."

Obama - Yes, we know.

Really, this bit about him pressing the wrong button - oops! - is just so much bullcrap. He's either a fool who can't figure out how to vote (not a good characteristic in a leader) or it was political cowardice, trying to have it both ways (again, not a good characteristic in a leader).

OTOH, I don't think it's that big a deal. Politicians do this sort of crap all the time, playing both sides of an issue. Politicians make mistakes and dodge responsibility and accountability or apologize as if "sorry" makes it all better. It just means Obama is not perfect, but is really like lots of other politicians (including his rivals for the nomination).

4. He bungled a vote. Is this the best you can do? I suppose it is better than Murdoch's Page Six or
that YouTube loon.

7. I can not believe I have not put you on ignore.
Something I have been meaning to do. If you think you are helping your candidate with this tripe, forget it.

12. She could, but the backfire potential makes it very risky.
If it backfires, it makes her look incredibly petty. Your average joe and jane are bound to understand the error.

Yeah, it's klutzy, but most folks have done it.
How many times have people written an email, changed there mind on the message, went to hit cancel and hit send?
Or went to a coke machine and hit the root beer button and not the diet coke button?
I've hit the wrong button on a remote, and end up skipping ahead on a DVD instead of pausing?

If he gets defensive or flustered, it could work for Hillary, but if Obama explains it with a laugh and a smile, it hurts Hillary, like that "likable enough" hurt Obama.
