4. If McCain Wins FL He Gets A Head Of Steam On Super Tuesday
It's the difference between playing the Patriots in the Super Bowl and playing the Miami Dolphins...

Any of our candiates can beat him at least 54-46 and pick up four hundred Electoral Votes...He has no base...

5. The point is...
Romney is more easily beatable in the general in November. McCain could actually win (and we don't want that do we?) Romney is a much easier fight. Hope he gets the nomination.

6. Every time I hear that statement, I remember us saying the same
thing about St. Ronnie. I know there wasn't a DU then, but all the Dems I knew were saying that. "Who would ever elect an Hollywood Actor?" I honestly don't know which Pub would be easiest to defeat. The hard core Pubs don't like McCain because they don't see him as a real Pub. The RW Evans like Huck, but none of the rest of the Pubs like him because he has NO experience. Paul really doesn't stand a chance anywhere. The only ones who like Rudy are those who are scared of their own shaddow! It looks like Rudy is close to being history anyway.

8. A Lot Of The "We Can Beat Reagan Silly" Is Revisionism
I was "there"... I knew it would be tough to hold the White House with the economy in the toilet, hostages in Iran, and the Soviets in Afghanistan...

The political climate favors us big time and Reagan didn't have the image of a flip flopper in a suit...

9. Most of the voting public really
doesn't look that close. Huckabee's "Aw shucks" persona could carry the day. And, if he gets the nomination, watch out! He could then win, and probably would. And he would be way worse than Bush. McCain carries both name recognition, from his popular previous attempts. With that, and his war hero status, he could easily gather enough independents and even some Dems (Hilary is still a polarizing entity ).

At this point in the game in 2000, I really didn't think Bush would last. I figured he would fizzle after Super Tuesday at the latest. Certainly not to the convention. After he got the nomination, I didn't think there was any way Gore could not win, and win BIG. After Bush's mess for the first four years of his administration, I figured Kerry would cruise to an easy defeat of the squatter on Pennsylvania avenue. Then came "The Swift Boats." ANYTHING can and very likely will happen. Be prepared! The Dems will be in a better position to beat Romney than McCain or Huckabee. Most likely, Guiliani is toast already.

But both fields can easily change within the next week.the
