That were told and bought...hook, line and sinker. Dean is a GREAT leader and a million times better than Kerry could ever hope to be.

32. Really? What budget has Kerry balanced?
When did Kerry sign Civil Unions into law? Oh yeah, that's right, he's fighting against gay rights in his state. What prescription drug benefit does Mass. seniors have? What percentage of kids in Kerry's state are eligible for insurance? Vermont's percentage is 99%. Did Kerry build up a $100 million surplus while governing through BOTH Bush recessions?

Kerry wore a uniform and shot people in a war we never should have been in to begin with. That might make him a soldier, but it doesn't make him a leader. :eyes:

37. He might be the nominee, but he won't be president
He's just about the weakest Democratic candidate of the race. Can you say "Bob Dole"? Besides, if the Dems wanted to nominate a war hero to appear strong on national defense they shouldn't have chosen one who was also an anti-war activist.

If so, why is Kerry polling ahead of Bush in all national polls of Democrats, Independents, adn Republicans as the candidate that most people want to win in November?

42. That is just plain stupid.
I'd like to reply that your replie was idiotic. Kerry was not a Governor so its not as if he can set the agenda for what passes in his state and as a Senator he was at the whim of 99 other Senators, hundreds of House members and a President whom in 12 of Kerry's 20 Senate years has been hostile to his agenda.

Let's not be ridiculous when pumping up Dean's accomplishments in a tiny state over what Kerry has been able to do in the entire country.

33. Yes, but
isn't summer the 3 days that follow 9 months of winter up there? ;-)

I guess that's still better than the 9 months of Texas summer. The old joke is you know you're a Texan if the temperature drops below 75 and you get chilled!

BTW- that sounds wonderful. I hope you enjoy your time there!

44. 3 months of summer? lucky stiffs!
Here in MN, we're lucky if we get TWO months of summer each year!

And for those two months, you'd swear you were in Singapore, too. Hot, humid, bugs, eeew. Not to mention the road construction....!

But hey, the 10 months of winter are unbeatable-- at least, the six where it's "warm" enough to go outdoors!

:hi:

26. Not sure about MN for Dean...
The vast majority of the Dean folks here are voting with Edwards.

The chair for John Kerry didn't make a case for us MN Deaners to join his camp during our last meeting.

From what I saw that night...80% were switching votes for Edwards and about 20% of us were still voting Dean.

29. If these figures hold
Kerry will pick up between 600-650 delegates today, bringing his total up to over 1400, not including superdelegates who will then start endorsing the winner in their state (Kerry's superdelegate count has doubled saince Wisconsin).

700 to 750 once you account for the 15% rule and California polls yesterday showing Kerry up in a way consistent with the MSNBC numbers, 62-25.

39. This is great news for Howard Dean....
it really should mean a cabinet position....he has to be part of this process all the way through to November.

He's the straightest shooter out there are far as slamming Bush and sending him right back to Crawford.

Go Howard!!!
