I haven't yet voted in Ohio, help me make up my mind.
I'm at work taking a break and I won't be able to get to the polls for another hour or so. I still don't know for sure who to vote for, I'm trying to decide between Kerry, Edwards and Kucinich. Anyone wanna help me make up my mind?

1. Kucinich
Since you are from Ohio, you should be familiar with his policies and style of governing.

15. Yes, I live near his district
and have pretty much grown up with him since he was elected mayor of Cleveland when I was twelve years old (I live in the suburbs, though, not in Cleveland itself). I do have a lot of respect and admiration for him.

2. With an icon like Bobby Kennedy I'd think it'd be no prob...
Kucinich says a lot of similiar things.. Also I wonder do you save money because of Dennis' keeping the power company public? If so I say put your money where your mouth is ;)

17. Well, I don't live in Cleveland.
I live in the suburbs, but yes, I know plenty of people in Cleveland who are very grateful for his principled stand in refusing to sell the power company to private interests, they've gained many benefits from that.

19. I am, indeed, very impressed with
Edwards and I believe his message resonates particularly well in Ohio, where we've lost hundreds of thousands of jobs in the past few years, with no sign of them returning.

7. The last time a freshman Senator ran for the nomination...
...and inspired people like John Edwards was Bobby Kennedy.

Youthful looks and an optimistic message to inspire the American people. John Edwards can give us a little part of what we could have had in '68.

I believe in John Edwards.

9. Kucinich, of course.
:)

"Few are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. And I believe that in this generation those with the courage to enter the moral conflict will find themselves with companions in every corner of the globe."

10. well

I'd say first of all it's about either Kerry or Not Kerry. If Not Kerry, then it's whether you want to back a somewhat more 'moderate' (conservative) or a more Left leaning candidate.

Of course, you may simply want to vote for the person who most appeals to you.

11. I know you're concerned about health care
You can make no stronger statement about health care issues than voting for the only Ohio candidate who has proposed a Canadian-style single payer system.

No matter how DK does today, voting for him lets the Big Boys know that someone cares about real health care reform.

health care is a critically important issue for me and I don't see Kerry or Edwards addressing it the way Kucinich is.

40. Both Kerry and Edwards are addressing health care
but with plans more likely than DK's to make it through a hostile congress. Kerry's is more expensive than Edwards' but of course it covers more people. And Kerry's is innovative in the way it covers catostrophic claims in order to reduce costs for everyone.

It's only a step forward I agree. And so does Kerry.

You're on here a lot! I would've thought you would know by now! lol Well, it took me awhile until things started changing. I don't vote until May 4th so it won't make much difference. I will vote Kucinich in the primaries (my heart) and the nominee in the fall (ABB)! Just vote your heart right now.

13. Kucinich...
Here's why:

Exit polling in Ohio shows Kerry with a 24 point lead over Edwards...he is smoking him.

Get Kucinich delegates...especially if you live in the north, where he is more popular and more likely to win precincts.

Kucinich keeps things interesting, and Edwards is toast.

Just objective, because my dog is out of this fight.

Your vote won't help Kerry or Edwards, but it will help Kucinich.

23. I'm doing as as I type...
Did you know some people can put you on hold at their houses? Basically...we're kind of constrained in being able to thoroughly address the issues while when we call...but the people who make the calls are all very passionate and informed. If you do ask them a specific question, I know that most, at the very least, will try to get you in touch with someone who can address you're question...I try to answer some.

But, ya, not pushy is the way to go

29. Some of us are deciding who gets the power at the convention
Three progressive voters in my house, we split three ways and any one of us could have chosen to vote with one of the others.
Kucinich is our home state guy, but Edwards is there to keep Kerry on his toes, but if everyone is thinking that way...

Ad there's the old trick of flipping a coin and seeing if you feel disappointed (so you know how you really wanted the decision to go)

28. Edwards
I did it with a lump in my throat when I saw Dean's name in the ballot. (Don't mess with me, about this, okay?) Reasons were practical and pragmatic rather than anti-Kerry. The longer we can keep the contest going, the longer we can continue to get free media. Plus, I've always really liked Edwards.

33. Dean is still on the ballot?
I can imagine that that would have been hard to see if you were a Dean supporter.

Basically, right now I'm going back and forth between Edwards and Kucinich. And that's a very good point about keeping the contest going as long as we can, I think it's also made people pay a lot more attention to the primaries and the Dem candidates than they normally would have.

I have quite a few friends who did the same as Eileen, swallowed their pride and voted for Edwards. It's a hard thing to do. There is also the feeling that even though we got shafted into a fake Super-Tuesday, at least our vote will mean something.

DK. He is a brother Buckeye and the best thing since Bobby Kennedy. I will support, with the greatest enthusiasm, ABB when the time comes. But it sure felt good to touch the screen for Dennis.( Not sure my vote counted though as we have touch screens here in Columbus.)

Just be sure to vote
