First response: did HRC have a response. Second thought: probably not, so HRC missed her opportunity to truly look Presidential Next moments, starting to listen to the speech: he's so relaxed, he doesn't even look tired. End of speech: plain speech, no phony "my fellow Americans" or "god bless"'s (who has the right to give out God's blessings anyway?)
I truly feel for the Clintons, but their time has come and gone. I surely wanted a woman to be President, but the timing's wrong, if only because it's Obama time.
But the Clintons are not as young, nor are their staffers, anymore. They are not having fun. They have lost their connection, indeed, to hopefulness, in all that they aspire to accomplish and as hard as they work. I salute them, but I say to them, you have much to be proud of and much yet to do. You don't have to have the White House again to have all those opportunities.
HRC is an effective Senator. William Jefferson Clinton is an honorable world ambassador. Chelsea is such a nice person. It's okay....
