This Is Why It's Obama For Me...
The ONLY chance the Republicans have of pulling out a victory in November, is a Clinton\McCain match-up. And I doubt they can even do that.

However, I'm pretty sure there will be no landslide victory for Hillary Clinton. She will bring out Republican voters to the polls that might otherwise have sat this one out. Independents given a choice betweewn the two, might not want to go through anymore Clinton dramas, and might settle on McCain. And she will garner tepid support from many a progressive Democrat. ie... "I'll vote for her, but I won't actively support her" (money, canvassing, phone-banking, bumper-stickers, rallies, etc.) Plus you have to wonder how many of the new young bright-eyed voters are prepared to vote for her if she manages to crush Obama in the upcoming primaries. When Hubert Humphrey became the Dem standard bearer after the assassination of RKF, and the riots of the 68 Convention, many young idealistic people said, "To hell with the whole thing" and did not vote.

Obama on the other hand, if he manages to pull this thing out, could continue to build on his movement, while adding more and more voters to the registration rolls. And if it were to become a legitimate phenomenon, we just could see a landslide victory in November for the Democrats.

Which would carry within its coat-tails, increases in our majorities in both houses. It would also put the minority on notice that they'd better play ball.

The biggest changes in our way of life here in the good ole USA, came after such landslides. The New Deal after the 1932 Election, and the Civil and Voting Rights Acts after the 1964 Election.

It is time for such changes once again.

7. Oh... Go Rope A Cow...
I wasn't aware that hoping for a landslide victory for the Democrats was a RW talking point.

But I guess it could be, if Obama gets the nomination.

I'd be a skeered little right-wing doggie too!

Yee-Haw!!!

:wtf:

18. Actually... These Are My Very Own Thoughts...
After being a political junkie for some 40 odd years.

And yeah... it's nice to have them confirmed, but what I'm reading is the left-wing press.

8. I doubt Obama would lead a Dem landslide since he has said that the Cons
will have equal input to his policies. In fact, his stated objective to work with them would probably make their voters come out to insure their side has as many chairs at his table of bipartisanship.

17. You might be surprised by how much GOP support
Obama is getting.

I am seeing all over the place.

People who I know for a fact have voted GOP their whole lives have had enough, of Bush and the whole GOP thing. They tell me they like and will support Obama.

Hillary unfortunatly will not generate their support, their is just too much left over animosity from her husbands tenure in office, as unfair as that may be it is a fact.

I think that if Obama heads the ticket even Ryan here in SE Wisc could be upset (be tough though).
