Poll question: How important is tonight's Democratic Presidential Debate?
My prediction: It will prove to be the most important debate of the entire campaign, (including the future General Election debates)...

2. I'm busy, I have to do my taxes
Oh wait. I forgot, I'm a "downscale Democrat". I only have to file the short form and list all my income from welfare and food stamps.

Well, I'll go clean my shotgun, then.

3. Obama needs to get agressive on the IWR abdication of responsibility and the role of Bill
He scores on both issues.

Hillaty Last debate you accused me of voting present too much. But when it came to the authorization of the war you were Absent from your fundamental responsibilities.

10. I agree
He may not need to bring up Bill I suspect the moderator will.

if she says "roving ambassador", He needs to ask what that means. "Will he go up to the Hill to twist Arms? Will he be in charge of any legislation? Do you see him going on MTP or "This Week"? The voters need to understand the role a little better given his role in the camopaign to date."

11. They both need to be careful tonite.
MSNBC has been reporting all morning that Obama is going more negative, while Hillary is sticking to the issues.
Andrea Mitchell had Kerry on was grilling him on Obama's latest attacks on Hillary.

And Hillary has already paid a big price for her negativity.

It must suck to be either one of them preparing for tonite. But hey, they better get used to it, because whoever wins will have to deal with the shit that the gopers will roll out.

I don't have a candidate between these two, but tonite I will be looking at them as someone who will have to stand against McCain.

9. The IWR vote was so egregious
that he wouldn't accept the endorsement of John Kerry and Edward Kennedy in protest.

5. So, you're thinking...
It won't give the voters any real or useful information about Hillary or Barack?

8. if by you mean who wins the personal attack battle, then yes
but if you mean in anything substantiative, absolutely not. the media is looking for more still shots and to settle the handshake feud

16. Since I haven't seen any of them yet and I was an Edwards supporter, it's huge for me
I will base much of my decision on how they each do tonight.

18. I think Obama may perform better in a one on one debate
Because he has been average in any other debate format.

Anybody remember the 2004 Illinois Senate debate with Alan Keyes? He absolutely killed Keyes. This is a format where he might excel.

I still give Hillary the advantage in this debate because she's so quick off her feet, though.
