Bill Clinton links Ted Kennedy and Bush based on 'No Child Left Behind' bill
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 06:45 PM by Quixote1818
That Teddy wrote.

Hillary Clinton on 'No Child Left Behind':

That is why I supported the No Child Left Behind Act in 2001 and continue to believe in the principles behind the landmark law. When the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLBA) was enacted, I viewed it as a historic promise between the federal government and educators -- schools would be held to higher standards than ever before and the government would make a record investment in those schools to ensure that they would be able to meet the new expectations confronting them.

On the trail, Bill Clinton links Ted Kennedy and Bush

(CNN) — Twice in the past two days, former President Bill Clinton has implied Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy bears responsibility for the “No Child Left Behind” school standards, which are deeply unpopular with the Democratic base.

The statements come just days after Kennedy endorsed Hillary Clinton’s primary opponent, Barack Obama.

In Arkansas yesterday, the former president told voters at a campaign stop that President Bush had "made a deal with Sen. Kennedy, and neither one of them meant to mess it up.”

He said that agreement had been to give schools more money but cut or eliminate funding for successful programs he had started during his administration.

Earlier this week in Arizona, Clinton had also linked Kennedy’s name with President Bush’s as he criticized the education measure.

"I want you to think about this, and I have to say, this was a train wreck that was not intended. No Child Left Behind was supported by George Bush and Sen. Ted Kennedy and everybody in between. Why? Because they didn't talk to enough teachers before they did that," said Clinton on Thursday, according to the Associated Press.

Understandable. He's packin' real meat...

It's all about sex, the human condition. Why else would she not divorce the known philanderer? Power? Status? Authority?

Damn, I'm hot for a dominatrix. I wonder, merge the brothel with the pizza chain and ask if they deliver in 30 minutes or else it's free...

5. He's telling the truth, Ted Kennedy
worked with the WH to get that legislation written and passed. It was an example of the both sides coming together to get something done. Unfortunately, that something was a piece of shit that has accomplished very little, if anything.

6. One of the biggest problems with NCLB is not that Ted Kennedy
helped write the bill, but that George Bush refuses to fund it adequately.

I think Bill is reaching here.

"Neither of them meant to mess it up"? Bull fucking shit. That's exactly what bush intended to do. Clinton should look and see that his wife is running for pres on the Democratic primaries. Or as Clinton would probably say, the Democrat primaries.

Go get yerself a BJ, Bill and STFU.

23. The truth: Kennedy wrote the bill
Obamites loved to attack Hillary and Edwards for voting for it. Maybe they should have looked at who else voted for it (47 of 49 Democrats) and who wrote it. I guess Obama's opposition research memos didn't include those tiny facts when this viral attack spread across the netroots?

That didn't stop Obamites from using it to swiftboat Edwards and attack Hillary.
