This Election Is Causing The Greatest Dem\Liberal Introspection In Recent History !!!
Anywhere from funny to flame, serious to suicidal, and with ONE HELL OF A LOT AT STAKE, the "funny" thing is, this is the way history moves. There is no gentle slope for significant change.

And despite what I think of you... :banghead:

And what you think of me... :hide:

We are on the precipice of something truly important.

This ain't your father's, or your mother's, Presidential Election!

2. Always a struggle when the new generation takes over from the older one

Baby boomers (like me) have had their time on the stage, now it's time for the next generation.

(However, should Obama NOT serve for 8 years, there could be a backlash).

One only has to look 48 years ago, and 16 years ago to see this in action.

7. We've already saddled the Gen X and Gen Y
folks with $10 trillion of public debt, up $5 trillion in just the last 7 years.

And then there is the issue of SS. And while it IS solvent right now, when the last of the baby boomers (me) reaches 65 (in about 15 years), and given the life expectancy of the boomer generation and the numbers of X and Y folks that will be paying into SS so that the Boomers can draw their SS (private pensions are evaporating too) SS might not look all that solid by 2040 or 2050, not to mention that the Gen X and Gen Y will be the first American generations to NOT have the same or better expectations as their parents generation...

Well, let's just say I wouldn't want to be 30 right now. Like my nieces and nephew. I will NOT have the same retirement that my parents generation had (trips and a paid off house and so on). The next generation will have it worse.

The national debt... just so you know, is now about $66,000 for each and every person under the age of 45.

(Figuring that those over 45 won't contribute 1 penny to paying off the debt, not with the deficits we've been running)
