OMAHA, Neb. - Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin was expected in Nebraska on Sunday to campaign for fellow Illinoisan Barack Obama.

Durbin is the Senate's assistant majority leader.

Obama's campaign said Durbin would appear in Lincoln and Omaha Sunday afternoon. In Lincoln, Durbin was to be hosted at the home of state Sen. Bill Avery. Later, in Omaha, he was to speak at a town hall meeting at the IBEW Local 22, home of a local electrical workers' union.

Nebraska Democrats will hold caucuses on Feb. 9.

Obama has five campaign workers in Nebraska and is running TV ads in Omaha and Lincoln, and a radio spot in rural areas.

Opponent Hillary Clinton has volunteers organizing in the state.
