1. a great post marred by a crappy sign
I would think you should know your opponent is Bush, I guess that is too much to ask.

2. Petty.
Very petty to make that remark on such a serious thread. 19 dead boys is a lot more important than you bitchin' about someone's sign.

4. No it is petty to have the sign
If you look, I have never responded to this poster before, and thus likely have never seen it.

7. Whine, whine, whine.

You guys are whining about a sig line and ignoring the message of the post and crucifying the messenger. SAD, sad, sad.

YOU MUST NOT BE A MOTHER, or you wouldn't have noticed the sign.

I am a mother, and my son will be 18 in the next administration. I don't give a crap WHAT the poster uses on his sign--it is insignificant compared the horrors the mothers of THESE 19 MEN have experienced.

9. The fact that you are complaining about a sign
is utterly ridiculous given the circumstances of the families of these men posted above. Shame on you.

12. What the hell are you talking about?
You complained about the posters SIGN, i.e. the 'dated Dean married Kerry'. I never said you called him a pig fuc*er! So what exactly is your point?????????

13. You claimed I crucified the poster
Shouldn't you be able to point to just one name?

14. Crucifixion isn't a name called and does not have to be a specific word.
...it can be a phrase or message. Your message was clear, you didn't like the slam against Dean vis a vis the 'dated Dean, married Kerry' sign, and you said so...publically.

Perhaps if you had sent a private message to the poster, I wouldn't have used the term 'Crucifixion'.

Now I am done talking to those who refuse to comprehend reason.

15. sending such a private message is against the rules of this board
and would be highly presumptuous. The PM function is to be used to send friendly messages not criticisms.

3. dsc.....yes, I agree!
Since I'm in Ohio.......and this active, grassroots democrat has feelings....I'll just have to write-in Dean in November....it's Sig's like that which can be very persuasive.....

of our Ohio Service Men... The Sig is in bad taste and promotes the distraction. Of course, the poster is apparently the hit-and-run type.

5. Most of these men are boys.
Edited on Tue Mar-09-04 05:52 PM by cosmokramer
Babies who would still have a curfew if they were living at home.

Ohio also has well over 100,000 veterans. And millions of children. And millions of workers. And millions of mothers and fathers.

Ohio should go Dem, if not for these young men then for all the other reasons. One dead young man is one too many.

16. Well, Ohio's going Dem, but not because of that
Although incredibly sad, the war in Iraq won't be the main issue in Ohio.

Jobs will. Specifically, 300,000 lost ones in the last 4 years.
