1. I checked the Fox News website
...and didn't find anything (yet).

I knew they were going to pull something big, but I had no idea they would sink this low. I smell Karl Rove and Rupert Murdoch.

they read from the NY Post article. BTW, NY Post and Fox, both Murdoch owned...It's the right wing echo chamber at work. Expect this on Limbaugh and Hannitty etc.

3. ...
Is that politicising a tragedy?? Oh well...
Just imagine how they would react if someone would come right out saying Bush is responsible for 911.
You know, like lying about warnings and taking a month long holidy just before that tragedy.

9/11: Bush Knew
A collection of compelling articles, which refute, or, at the very least, call into question, the assertions that Bush and his administration had no prior knowledge of events that would lead to the 9-11 tragedy.

6. Kerry should volunteer to testify
very publicly offer to give as much time as the Commission needs to follow up on the NY Post's information. And of course remind everyone how much Bush is stonewalling.

7. Found info on Sullivan
Edited on Tue Mar-16-04 01:05 PM by OKNancy
Brian Sullivan ( the retired FAA guy they are using to smear Kerry)

http://www.freedomtocare.org/page213.htm

Read the whole thing....

and this:

Sullivan says Sen. Kerry responded to his letter and asked the

Department of Transportation's Inspector General look into the matter.

"I think Sen. Kerry did get it to the right people and they were

about to take action."

The FAA also responded, but in a way that left Sullivan unconvinced

that anything would happen anytime soon.
---------

Edit: in this article, written by Sullivan he blames DOT,FAA and the Airlines

http://www.insightmag.com/news/2002/06/17/FairComment/Dot-Faa.And.Airlines.Share.Blame.For.911.Security.Lapses-253643.shtml

-----------
An article from 9-12-2001
Sullivan is quoted but makes no mention of Kerry or blames Kerry one single time.

http://www.insightmag.com/news/2002/06/17/FairComment/Dot-Faa.And.Airlines.Share.Blame.For.911.Security.Lapses-253643.shtml

------------
9-14-01

http://www.seacoastonline.com/2001news/9_14_sb2.htm

Brian Sullivan, who retired in January as an FAA risk management specialist in the New England, said he warned federal authorities as early as May of security problems at Logan. He even suggested then that the airport was vulnerable to multiple hijackings.

"Think what the result would be of a coordinated attack which took down several domestic flights on the same day," Sullivan wrote in a letter to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass. "The problem is that with our current screening system, this is more than possible. We don't have to wait for a tragedy to occur to act."

Kerry's office said it took Sullivan's concerns seriously and sent his letter, along with a news video Sullivan had included, to the General Accounting Office for review.

The GAO did not "give us follow-up on that," said Kerry spokeswoman Kelly Benander.

8. Desperation
Of course, Bush has to find some way to smear Kerry and he is desperately trying to pull every crooked Republican trick in the book to make Kerry look bad. He must really be desperate if he's trying to blame 9/11 on Kerry when BUSH was the president when it happened.

9. Time for Clinton
and Sandy Berger to call a press conference to let the world know that the Bush administration was briefed upon taking over the WH and KNEW what was about to happen. They had SPECIFICS about airplanes that were to be used to fly into large buildings. Time for people "in the know" to step up to the plate. NOW.

12. BUUUULLLLLSSSHHHIIIIIITTTT!!!!!!
You know, I'm not the biggest Kerry fan. As a matter of fact, I don't really like him all that much. But this has me really pissed off. If we suggest that Bush may have known that 9/11 was coming and did little to prevent it we get called wackos, kooks and conspiracy theorists. Suddenly the repukes do it to our side and they get air time. I'm skeptical about the idea that Bush knew, and I'm sure there was nothing that Kerry could do to prevent the attacks.

I wonder how Kerry will respond to this?

14. Remember????? how the media attacked Wes Clark
because he said that if HE were president, he would have done everything in his power to prevent 911? HE wouldn't have ignored the evidence like Bush did? My G-D! The media was on THAT for a week saying how Wes Clark was so horrible for saying such a thing.

Bush DID have the intelligence from the Clinton adminisration saying that Bin Laden was planning to use airplanes and fly them into large U.S. buildings. They shelved the info for 9 months....ignoring it. They did NOTHING...nada...zip...zero! :grr:

21. You bet I remember!
I want to hear Clark saying, as he did, that the Bushies turned their backs on counter-terrorist strategies the Clinton administration had in place in favor of ICBM defense. Of course maybe he IS saying that, but if anybody reports it I'll faint.

Also -- somebody else who should be speaking out is Tom Daschle. Yes, Tom Daschle. He gave a very eloquent speech in August 2001 about this very thing -- that the Bushies were not using defense spending wisely by ignoring terrorism and returning to the Star Wars stuff. Why can't he say "I told you so?" !!

25. Good!
It will fire up *OUR* base while reminding the undecided to ask "Who is responsible for 9/11?"

And maybe that will lead to the question "Who is responsible for Iraq?"

18. what makes this so despicable
is that more than likely, they have taken a few comments like this:

"Sullivan may have been wrong about one thing he said in his letter to his

Senator: 'We don't have to wait for a tragedy to occur to act.'

An FAA spokesman confirms that Brian Sullivan raised security

concerns prior to the hijackings, but the spokesman was not able to

provide details Sunday on how the agency followed up."

This sentence made it look as if Kerry didn't follow-up. That's how they are coming to this outlandist lie that Kerry did nothing. Simple re-wording to suit their fight.

They seem to have totally left out the other comments made by Sullivan such as:

"Sullivan says Sen. Kerry responded to his letter and asked the

Department of Transportation's Inspector General look into the matter.

'I think Sen. Kerry did get it to the right people and they were

about to take action.'The FAA also responded, but in a way that left

Sullivan unconvinced that anything would happen anytime soon."

They are "cherry-picking" the words to suit their cause...so what's new..:eyes:.

It's gonna be a long 8 months!

23. But it nicely lays the groundwork for the mentally lazy,
I know people who treat Fox as a reliable news channel. When something bad happens with a Republican, they can turn to the Fox spinners who tell them how many Democrats have already done it.

When the word gets out about exactly how culpable Bush is for 9/11, these people will be able to comfortably say, "Six of one......They all do it."

24. it truly shows how desperate they are
*shakes head* We need more high-profile Dems like Clinton speaking out against this bullshit. That email from him was a good start. I get all nostalgic when I see him on TV, and that's a good thing! The more Kerry pulls out Clinton, the more Americans will remember the prosperity of the 90s, and be even angrier at Bush for fucking everything up.
