31. By what bizarre standard does engaging in 18 debates mean running from them?
Bill Clinton didn't even engage in *half* as many when he was running in 1992. Only 7!

But don't let the facts get in the way.

12. That is the same as copying an entire campaign?
There is no "politics of hope", "movement for change", no "changing politics as usual", no "unity". It is all part of a marketing gimmick by Axlerod. What is left with Obama once you strip the gimmickry away?

34. Go Figure
Obama speech writers were probably getting "writer's cramp" and reverted to recycling; after all, the guy isn't a straight-forward, off the cuff talker. Saw excepts of his "speech" today on local news, he was stuttering and fumbling all over the place. What's up, the news media even cut into it almost immediately.

someone at hillaryis44.org
should clue these dolts in that it only takes 5 dollars to get a star.

but they are not upper class so we should not expect them to have any spare income, just plenty of spare time to post the alloted 3 posts here with zero substantial replies.

Sad, innit?

Latte hating blue-collar thugs for hillary!

step 1) Encode the racist hate speech
step 2) spam 3 times a day, the prevalent lie that hillary's republican campaign advisors have dreamed up
step 3) repeat until tombstoned

It is definitely his weakest area.

How did McCain do in debates previously? I didn't watch much but he seems pretty boring so BO could probably do just fine against him off the cuff.

There was an article about his inability to articulate well when not using a teleprompter. A reporter spoke of his stack of 3x5 cards, his hesitancy, his gaffs when speaking off the cuff.

Of course he doesn't want to debate.

Edited on Tue Feb-19-08 08:09 AM by flordehinojos
he is also like a 12 year old living in an adult body. very much like GWB. can't stand up on his own and always has something or someone to hide behind, whether its words, or whether its people like his friend Deval Patrick covering up his *ss for him on television this morning.

edited to add, hillary pointed some of this out in one of the debates when she said she wanted to debated him but he always backed away from he said, either excusing it by saying he meant to say something other than ... or ... somehow always an excuse. he can hillary under water from a stump stage but he can't do it in a debate and he knows it.

and if he as much gives her a below the belt punch during these two debates i hope hillary won't sit there out of breath and dumbfounded, i hope he punches right back at him in all her splendour.

i don't know...40 years or so? The people will decide, one way or the other. State YOUR case, make YOUR points, and see how the votes tally. General Giap (Viet Nam) won only one major battle in 30 years of fighting all his adversaries...yet won every war he fought.

44. You're making a fool of yourself. These themes and statements were started by Obama in 2004.
Patrick, with a similar political perspective as Obama, then used them in 2006. Now Obama continues those messages in 2008.

Oh, and Patrick is one of Obama's national campaign co-chairs.

Are we now going to attack every politician who has a speech writer that they don't cite? 'cause that's what you guys seem to be suggesting around here. The Clinton campaign better look in the mirror, in that case, 'cause I've never seen her cite one of her speech writers or campaign chairs for her messages.

Get real people. Seriously.

And the candidate ahead demands less debates.
Nothing wimpy about it.
It is a cover your own ass kind of thing.
If Clinton was 100 delegates ahead Obama would be demanding more debates.
