Unless NYT has more, this story did more good then bad to McCain (rallying the base).

They BOTH denied any relationship or sex.

Most of the time its one of them saying they did something, and the other is saying no.

Look at the framing of the story.. they aren't even talking about a what happened, but more about how the story was held.
