4. Cant wait!
Tonight will be great fun to watch. Obama has the MO and hillary has the tough questions to face. I can almost hear Obama going down in flames now as Hillary answers the questions about her campaign loan and her firings and her negative ads and her delegate deficit and her wage garnishment and .... Yes obama is sure to be clobbered tonight! I am looking forward to it!

So his voice may be a little rough. He may even cough and sneeze. But he will use a nice cloth handkerchief and say "Excuse me", just like a gentleman.

Will Hillary say "Bless you"?

18. Thats the great thing about tonight. He wins by not losing too much!
Everyone already knows Hillary is better at debates than Obama and they still prefer Obama over her by a wide margin.

Obama wins by not losing too much, and Hillary loses by not getting a slam-dunk win.
And she can't get a slam-dunk win no matter what she does if Obama remains calm and collected regardless of what she trues.

Bringing Texas home to Obama!

44. You can hope, right?
The momentum shall continue, no matter how many bitter attacks are leveled at him, no matter the "gotcha" moments. The simple fact is there are more voters willing to vote for Obama than for Hillary, and that number seems to increase as we move forward. I look forward to the campaign against McCain, when the Dems can reunite for the common good.

15. He will be debating from the position of "front-runner" and with confidence.
Plus, the press has allowed him to attack Hillary negatively without labeling it "negative attacks" no matter what he says. I believe that Hillary will have much more difficult time in this debate. No matter what she says, how she says it, how many facts and how substantive she will the media and Obama supporters will say she is "negative" "shrill" and "attacking." She faces and almost impossible task in this debate. Plus, she is more apt to make her own gaffes because she has to be feeling somewhat betrayed by long-time "supporters" and "friends" and feeling beat-up by the Hillary haters in the media and elsewhere. I would not want to be her shoes. Everything thrown at her seems to stick (even when she has nothing to do with it) and nothing seems to stick on Obama, no matter what he says or does. Nevertheless, I am still a Hillary supporter and wish her well.

I'd like to see you go on stage with spotlights and cameras pointed in your face, scrutinized by millions of people, and not stutter.

And he's a million times better at public speaking and debating than Bush. You don't see him wired on stage so Rove can whisper in his ear. And we'll never see him make gaffes like "Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women across the country."

25. I dunno - he did well in the last debate.
He pressed on the Iraq issue, how he was opposed from the beginning, and how he's working to bring an end to it, but Clinton still hasn't apologized or come up with a rationalization for the IWR vote, and she still hasn't justified her subsequent votes like her vote for Kyl-Lieberman.

Really, for this one, all Obama has to do is set the record straight when attacked, then kill her with kindness - the more she snipes, the worse she'll look.

You guys really are living in a delusion. All Obama has to do tonight is not blow it. That's it. But comfort yourself as Hilly's campaign continues to implode. And that is what it's doing. It's unlikely she'll make it past March 5th. She's either going to narrowly win or lose TX and OH. She's going to get blown out of the water here in VT and she'll lose RI. She's pretty damn close to done.

47. Substance will matter, but...
after months of criticism, Obama has started putting his policies front and center in his speeches. I think he is more than ready to take on Hillary on policy and advocate his solutions as better for the country.

I'll tell you one thing for sure - partisans for both candidates will be 'sure' their candidate won. There will be lots of DU threads saying 'Why _____ is the debate winner' and all of them will be equally meaningless. Barring a meltdown by either candidate, we won't know who 'won' the debate until we see how the polls move over the next week.

And as we've all seen, it doesn't seem to work in her favor. She doesn't have many good options, besides just discussing the issues, and Obama will most likely gain most from that.

59. You know what?
I'm an Obama supporter, but if she beats him up badly, then he SHOULD lose, because it's evidence that he's unprepared. Just like if he scores points on her, then she should lose, because she's run a crappy, lazy campaign from the very beginning.

I'll give her points if she somehow pulls it out, but my God, what does it say about her that her organization has been so terrible? Where's all the evidence of her supposed experience and readiness? Her staff have been burning through millions and she's been asleep at the wheel. That's who you want in the Oval Office?

But if she comes in tonight guns blazing, and he wilts, then what can you say other than that he didn't have what it takes? And if she stumbles, then she's done.

You said it as if it were a proven fact. You didn't say that tonight's debate might snap Obama's big mo, you said that it will "snap the big mo for Obama and put him on the defensive." And even if it's your conjecture, it's not a sound one. As I already said, the previous 18 debates have not derailed Obama. What makes you think that tonight's debate will be any different? Or is this just your wishful thinking?
