The DLC HEARTS Obama!
This is by Big Tent Democrat on TalkLeft.com:

Yes, The DLC Supports Obama

"Obama's Unity Schtick is precisely what the DLC and Joe Lieberman have been preaching for decades and that the progressive blogs were supposed to be fighting AGAINST.

Excuse me, but has anyone in the progressive blogs actually been paying attention to what Obama has been saying? Probably not, too busy slamming Hillary Clinton."

1. If it walks like DLCer, talks like a DLCer, but claims it's not a DLCer, it's Barack Obama.
Come out of the DLC closet, Barack.

Hillary vs. Barack--was there a choice?

Come on, what is your point?

(Me--I have direct evidence Hillary is associated with the DLC--with Barack--it's rumors--So PROVE IT!)

And, again even if you do prove it, what were our options?

(edited for spelling.)

14. YES. There WERE a bunch of choices.
Their names were Biden, Dodd, Edwards, Kucinich, and Richardson.

I believe Gravel is still out there somewhere, and if he's on my ballot in May, I'll vote for him.

There is no one to blame but early Democratic voters themselves for leaving the rest of us stuck with a DLC candidate, and a DLC clone candidate.

12. I'd recommend this post if I could.
It deserves it's own thread, if you survive the flames that are sure to follow.

28. The fact is the DLC just WISHES that Obama would join them but he would not
If you can't win people over, then try to tar your opponent, right?

But the facts are facts:

"Neither my staff nor I have had any direct contact with anybody at the DLC since I began this campaign a year ago," Obama wrote. "I don't know who nominated me for the DLC list of 100 rising stars, nor did I expend any effort to be included on the list.... I certainly did not view such inclusion as an endorsement on my part of the DLC platform." After realizing that his name appeared in the DLC's database, Obama asked to have it removed.

The message was clear: The DLC needed Obama a lot more than Obama needed the DLC.

and centrism.

Obama is getting a lot of votes from the "Obama is against the Deeeee L Ceeee!!!!" myth.

5. Obama's unity talk involves the VOTERS, not the party leadership
And whether the DLC likes it or not, it's the progressive end of the party that has put it where it is today.

7. Bingo bango.
I didn't think that was too hard to understand. But I guess some people will try to use anything to associate it to something or someone else.

It's 'sillly season', indeed.

10. Hillary's strategy is to claim Obama is DLC because she is among its leadership?

From left to right: Harold Ford, Jr. is chairman of the DLC. U.S. Sen. Tom Carper is vice chair of the DLC; U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is chair of the DLC's American Dream Initiative; Al From is founder and CEO of the DLC. (Not pictured: Bruce Reed is DLC president; Pennsylvania State Representative Jennifer Mann is chair of the DLC's State Legislative Advisory Board (SLAB); Columbus (OH) Mayor Michael Coleman is chair of the DLC's Local Elected Officials Network(LEON).)

13. Wow, that's shocking! I think you missed the point of the article. I've seen Obama supporters rail
against Hillary because of her connection to the DLC, while they conveniently ignore Obama's ties.

25. Obama doesn't HAVE ANY ties to the DLC.
:wtf:

This particular line of attack is COMPLETELY baffling and
the stupidest yet.

This is the 3rd or 4th thread started on this "theme", so
I imagine you have been urged to spread it.

It's not like several people would be this STUPID and CLUELESS
simultaneously, on their own.

23. Obama wants it both ways.He wants to have a DLC-type agenda w/o the responsibility of being a member
officially. How convenient for him that he can appeal so much to both the DLC and the base of the Party at the same time with his "reach out to Republicans" theme and with his "be against the war but vote to enable it by funding it" charade.

24. And this is a reason to vote for Hillary?

At this point, Obama is the lesser of two "Centrist" evils.

I'll take my chance on the guy that Kennedy, Kerry, Feingold, and Kucinich (in Iowa) support.

31. The DLC has been trying to claim Obama for a long time
And he went out of his way to repudiate them.

Clinton was a founding member of the DLC.

Your point?
