How is Kerry doing among independents?
Any figures on this? Losing narrowly among independents hurt Gore and made his margin of victory far less decisive. Can Kerry pull off a win among independents, with or without Nader in the race?

1. In previous polls
Kerry was leading in Independents, but that was right after the primaries and before Bush had started to define him.

2. Unscientific survey
of independents in my area sees them as 100% against Bush. They understand that to get rid of Bush they must vote Kerry, and are willing to do so, but they aren't in love with the man.
