Cohen: Bush was "dying to go to War with Iraq"
On CSPAN Cohen just said this. I am floored that this is what we NOW know.

The pattern of lies, deceit, and obfuscation - and excuses for NOT giving a flying fuck about preventing 9-11 - ALL of that is a SUBTERFUGE for the HORROR that Bush and Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz and Cheney were HELL-BENT on WAR!!!

They did not CARE about the security of our Nation.

They cared only about their profit agenda and greed.

But as this campaign proceeds I think this quote is worthy of SHOUTING over and over:

"The (Bush) administration was DYING to go to war with Iraq." Richard Cohen, CSPAN, March 26, 2004. Washington Journal

and look who is dying now.

1. I remember before the war when Helen Thomas was the only one
that pointed out how Bush seemed to want the war so much and how abnormal that was. The rest of the media went along pretending like he was trying to avoid it, but was being forced into it. However Helen Thomas, people like us who protested, and the whole rest of the world used their own eyes and ears to see the obvious truth. What a farce.

5. Helen is the last true journalist in Washington.
That grrl still doesn't back down. She helped bring Nixon dow, and damn if she may be instrumental in bringing an even more corrupt, evil administration down.

Anyone want to bet that as long as Bush is in power she won't retire?

3. Cohen was Clinton's Defense Sec'y, but he was a GOP Congressman
The Bush mafia's partisan claims do run out when republicans like Clarke and Cohen slam him (also known as telling the truth). Then the Bush mafia are left with lame positions like saying that Richard Clarke is trying to sell books.
