Kerry's speech rocks!!!
This (p)resident doesn't want an honest debate about economics! But I'm willing to debate this anytime, anywhere! Announcing a new economic plan that will put jobs FIRST!!

:kick:

6. And it's good that he's not going into the Clarke accusations, yet.
Focus on another of chimp's disastrous policies, the economy, and let the media handle his international blunders. That way he's above the fray on bush*s impeachable offenses. The day will come, when this feeding frenzy has the bush* cabal surrounded by sharks and jr's numbers are in the 30's, that Kerry can step forth and discuss what he'd have done to prevent 9/11. :D

5. Wonderful, forceful and INTELLIGENT speech with substance
What a refreshing change of pace. A candidate who actually explains his policy proposals instead of spewing rhetoric and making sound bites! Consise and to the point. Bravo!!

9. An incredible contrast to Dubya with his Econonomics 101/"good or service"
view of what makes our economy run. Bush's speeches are an embarrassment to this great country. It's time we elect a real President with the intellect and will to fight for us, grow our economy again and to protect us from terrorism in the right way!

13. Kerry

deserves kudos for that speech! It's one of the best I've seen him give. Now he just needs to speak like that every time.

7. AND HE DID POSTPONE IT UNTIL BUSH WAS DONE WITH HIS!
I am glad he did this. Bush wanted to spoil the chances for people to watch Kerry.

8. Smacked the Bushboy's economic policies
upside the head! Right now Shrub's asking Karl to explain the speech to him.

Seriously, it was an excellent discussion of proposals for free-but-fair trade, incentives for jobs and especially for small businesses, rolling back tax cuts for the wealthy... Again, he pointed out that the Bushies are trying to distort his proposals -- saying honest people could disagree with his plans, but Bush doesn't want an honest discussion of them...

Great speech!

14. I was at the speech
I work at Wayne State so I was able to get in to see the speech.

I don't know if the coverage showed her part, but Gov. Jennifer Granholm (who introduced Kerry) got the room way more energized than Sen. Kerry did.

Now the subject was kinda dry in places (I'm an accounting major and even I was glazing over a little in places, but hey, the room was warm!) but even in the parts where he was really sticking it to Bush, I just didn't feel a strong connection. It may be that this was billed as a major policy speech so he didn't want to seem too over the top.

Kerry is supposed to speak at a large UAW rally tonight, that should be more energetic.
