The 2004 Win Back the Country game.
http://www.fundrace.org/neighbors.php

Here's the game (for those brazen souls):

Game Play
Enter your address, find those who have given to President George W. Bush, and pay them a visit. Obviously, be discreet.

Scoring
1 point for trying
10 points for converting a G.W. Bush donator to the Democratic ticket

This is an honour system scoring game. You do not need to get sworn affidavits.

Report back here with results. Winner receives all the glory.

Tip:
Organize with others who have given to Democratic candidates and go on "group hunts."

1. exactly why that site should not be up
If you must play, i suggest trying for smaller donors. Much more likely to be misguided people than people in it for the money.

2. The site...
is just a compilation of facts available anyways. The only thing opensecrets doesn't do is give the donor's address. The addresses can be found using other free public services. So it's just a matter of linking the two.

3. Fun game
...until the Bushistas show up at your door after another "selection" and haul you away because you donated to Kerry.

This site is a reprehensible invasion of privacy. By all means, the candidates should have to declare the source and amount of their donations to an impartial auditing board, but the general public does not need to know what amount or to whom you've donated.

That Americans are not hollering about this surprises me.
