I'm for Obama, but would definitely vote for Clinton (I just want to crush McCain!!!!)
Here's the final 2004 electoral map..

My thoughts on the GE are, I think Obama can very well win Iowa, New Mexico, Colorado, Virginia, & Nevada....Maybe not all these states, but a combination of them....And despite what some have said, I cannot fathom dark blue states like CA, NY, NJ, MA will turn red....John McCain is too socially conservative to win those aforementioned states, & chances are, he'll have a running mate whose more socially conservative than him....So I think Obama keeps the Kerry states...

For Clinton, I don't think she fairs as well in NM, IO, NM, CO, & VA, HOWEVER, she likely wins Arkansas, & in my opinion, has better chance of winning Ohio than Obama....I think Ohio is a MUST win if Hillary gets the nomination...Do some Ohio DU'ers have a take on the GE, can she win there?....

I'm not hopeful on Florida, but I think either Clinton or Obama can win without it, even Bill Clinton didn't win it in 1992.....

Your thoughts please

Regardless of who is the candidate or what the office, I want to see all of them thrown to the street.

2. This is the ultimate goal of so many of us.
It seems some people are so busy fighting over Obama vs. Clinton, that they have forgotten what Bushco has done to us. The Republicans are the enemy and fighting amongst each other only takes our eyes off the prize. United we stand and divided we fall. Frankly, I wish Clinton and Obama would just form a team so we could kick some Republican ASS!!

3. We need to choose a candidate and unify -- and that isn't going to happen until the convention
There just won't be enough time to crush anyone.

4. If Hillary is the nominee I may vote, then again I may not
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 12:19 PM by RummyTheDummy
Either way I won't be voting for McCain. Iraq is my litmus test and I won't vote for any candidate who voted for IWR, including Hillary. Period.

I suspect I am not alone in this viewpoint.

6. If enough people have that attitude
we are in trouble. Sure don't vote and then you can sit back and complain when McCain wins. Don't let that happen!!!!!

9. I respect your opinion but....

I think it's important for people to uphold their principles. IWR is one of my core issues. I sold my soul in 2004 to vote for Kerry, a thoroughly unsatisfying experience.

8. Just think about this:
Hillary voted for the IWR, but if she were in office, I don't think there'd be any more war(s) other than the ones that are going on.

Imagine if John McCain was in office. We'd be in a lot more war. :scared:

10. I strongly agree with you.
I will support the Democrat candidate regardless of who they are. One of things we can't afford to forget is how damaging a Republican win would be to OUR PRINCIPLES, our country, our civil rights, and our economy. More Supreme Court justices slots that could be at stake during the next presidency.

We need to get over our disappointment at past losses and unite around the Democratic candidate who comes out of the convention....or we will experience more war and repression than ever before. Remember, McCain promises 100 more years in Iraq.

Think long and hard about the destruction George Bush has done to this country in 8 years, and then think about how your principles can make a real difference not only in this election, but in the next 2 terms.

11. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is seeing the bigger picture.
Obama is my personal preference for President over Hillary, but I'm looking out for the best interest of the Democratic Party and the nation as a whole, instead of my own self. I will vote for the nominee regardless of who it will be.

7. Clinton/Obama would gain OH, NH, Arkansas and hold Oregon
Clinton without Obama makes Washington and Oregon dangerous. (And may not even pick up NH)

Obama/Webb might gain VA, NH and CO, but write off Ohio and Florida (and maybe even Michigan)

It's all tricky.

12. That's the attitude! No matter who is our nominee we all stand together!
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 01:07 PM by Seabiscuit
There is no doubt that we must stand together behind either candidate to defeat the Republicans. :kick:
