Breaking-Obama campaign attacks Clinton for not releasing tax returns
Edited on Wed Mar-05-08 01:41 PM by jenmito
Good. He's finally going to stop letting her paint HIM as being the corrupt, sneaky one! "What does the Senator have to hide...?"

5. It's about time! It's on MSNBC as "breaking news."
I hope they keep on with this stuff, asking about shady donors and deals, etc.

Release them, Hillary! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO HIDE?

On Edit:

And, by the way, I don't think this is a negative campaign tactic. She's a public figure. Her tax returns should be public record. The fact that she has refused to release them is troubling and should give all voters pause. What income source is a problem? What doesn't she want us to know?

He can force the issue and still "stay above".

It's a win/win!

24. That's the thing... "negative" campaigning doesn't have to be lies and distortion...
... as has been Hillary's practice. Criticizing an opponent on their actual record is fair game, and, obviously, must not be shied away from.

HIM to be able to fight back legitimately.

cover the year 96. That would include Bill's 96 dealings with that guy the NYtimes has reported on.
She is hoping to hold it off till she can release this years. In 2007 she was running and there will be nothing questionable on this years.

12. Beware: The Clintons are wily.
What if they're playing hard-to-get, and then they release the forms only to reveal that the info on them is absolutely unremarkable?

They'd get plenty of attention on this matter, and Obama would end-up looking a bit foolish.

They've known for years that she was going to make this run, and I'd bet that they planned their earnings/portfolio/etc accordingly.

I caucused for Obama. But if Hillary Clinton is clean as a whistle, then it's a good thing.

Should she go on to win the nomination, her dealings will not be an issue. Her refusing to disclose them until April 15th is a problem right now.

and in her talking to the press and begging them to go after Obama on the non-issue of Rezko, she's opened her own Pandora's Box. Shit is about to come out that even Hillary Supporters have no clue about. It will be interesting watching them defend the slime that will be uncovered!

The Die is Cast. Too bad it has come to this. Obama needs to hammer at this and other issues regarding ethics and misstatements. And he will take the wind of their sails. It's too bad, because I like Sen. Clinton and I am disappointed by his behavior. But I want a Democratic president and Obama is our only hope.
