I just broke down and cried.
Got a letter from Howard Dean. There are some late, in-coming bills still to pay, and, of course, I'm good for $25. But I looked at all the stuff that's happened in the last few days, and it hit me all over again how much this country needed Dean. I'm for Kerry, now. But I really do miss our man, I really do.

2. .
He stood up for us and brought many Dems together. So we shouldn't turn our backs on him and forget him when he has to pay some bills.

3. Dean has a role in everything going on.
And I think he will do a great job. I expect the others to do what they need to do too.

4. Don't lose the faith .. The Country still has Dean ...He's going to make

a Huge difference in smaller elections accross the country
with Democracy for America .

The left needs Dean to build its grassroots base of
involved citizens . Don't discount this as not important,
it is a great important path and a needed one .

My Dean yahoo group still has a pretty active dialogue
going on . Democracy for America Meetups are tonight
across the country .

While I understand your greif , I cried myself a few
times now , but I also understand that my Country still
needs me so I moved on from the grief . I must continue
to stay focussed on defending my country from the tyrants
whose aim is to rape and plunder against the American people.

7. go back to russia you commie (kidding!)
I'm still fighting for DK's message: no pre-emptive war, universal health care, no to NAFTA and the WTO, and rebuilding America. I'm a DK delegate to the MN state convention, and we WILL make our voices heard there!

And we'll keep on fighting for the ten points, even after November 2. Just because we win the presidency doesn't mean our fight is over. For many, it will have just begun.

:hi:

12. I'm not afraid to say it... Dennis was right, and we told you so
There.

After all the viscious attacks, it needed to be said.

After they all wipe the floor with me, I guess I'll hand in my resignation to the Dem party, eh?

8. I so understand Linda. We do need Dean, and hes still around.
No hes not our nominee, and I believe he should have been. Im not a big fan of Kerrys. But like you I support Kerry because Dean supports Kerry and more than anything, I support taking our country back.

There is a Democracy for America meet up tonight.***

I hope there is one in your area and I hope you will attend. I think its helpful for us to be around like minded souls as much as possible these days. Of course theres variation in every group, but every time I go to meet up or any event for that matter, it gets me unstuck in the feelings and attitude of powerlessness and fear.

Take care of yourself and thanks for sharing.

Connie

10. Howard Dean
is now free from the need to be 'handled' by campaign staffers, free from the need to travel to states where primaries are coming, free from the need to worry about anything other than getting the word out about the need to chase Bush & Co. out of the White House.

Dean is like that good friend you can always count on, that good friend who will always help you, that good friend who will react with the Ethic of Total Opposition if anyone ever, ever fucks with you.

Dean is not gone, and there is nothing to be sad about. The man is unbound now. That is a good thing for us in these insane days.

11. I can sure empathize with you
Wes Clark has been on a number of programs in the last few days talking about the military situation in Iraq, and he is so clear and makes so much sense that the contrast between his mind and whatever has been running our country for the last 3 years is just astounding.

When Clark finishes his piece, my husband just shakes his head and says "I can't believe we let him get away."

14. I hear you Linda and it's OK to cry but also feel good about what you did
I still very proud to have been part of the campaign. And more importantly the movement goes on. Here in Texas (yes that state) Dean's campaign really united the Democratic party. There's hope once again that we can rebuild and live to fight on, and take back our country one state legislature at a time. We had a huge turnout at our local county Democratic convention. People are excited about going to the state convention and we are winning some tight state races.

Another example of Dean's influence is that we continue to meet. We have a meetup tonight for example National Democracy Meetup Day. Go to one near you and see what great changes you have been a part of. Don't give up on Howard now. His fight is far from over.

Sonia
