Geraldine Ferraro defends Obama's level & type of experience
She had only 3 terms in Congress - no prior state government experience - and was challenged in the VP debate. Here's her response. "It's how you approach problems and what your values are". She was married to the mob at that time, so I question what her values were. In any case, here's HRC's mouthpiece talking about experience. By the way she was even married to the mob when she worked for the DA's office - no wonder she kept her maiden name professionally.

From her wikepedia bio:

Experience
Ferraro's experience was questioned at the debate and she was asked how her three terms in congress stacked up with Bush's experience (two House terms, career as an ambassador to China and the United Nations, CIA Director, and four years as Vice President).

“ Well, let me first say that I wasn't born at the age of forty-three when I entered Congress. I did have a life before that as well. I was a prosecutor for almost five years in the district attorney's office in Queens County and I was a teacher. There's not only what is on your paper resume that makes you qualified to run for or to hold office. It's how you approach problems and what your values are. I think if one is taking a look at my career they'll see that I level with the people; that I approach problems analytically; that I am able to assess the various facts with reference to a problem, and I can make the hard decisions. . . . . My feeling, quite frankly, is that I have enough experience to see the problems, address them and make the tough decisions and level with people with reference to those problems.

If he had, maybe Mondale/Ferraro would have carried a second state.

2. Actually she had more experience than Obama
Three terms in Congress, county prosecutor and before that a teacher. And she was only running for Vice President.

Ferraro's resume is up there with Richardson's.

9. Three terms in congress only adds up to 6 years.......
Edited on Mon Mar-10-08 05:51 PM by FrenchieCat
Obama has 11 years, 3 more than Hillary....and he was a teacher, a civil rights attorney, and a community organizer before that.

Plus he was smart and have enough foresight to see the Iraq war as the strategic blunder that it is.

He's over qualified to be Veep...which is why he is running for President of the United States of America instead! :patriot:

when they're turned loose on the press? How many does that make who are saying ridiculous accusations to prop up the prima donna?
