here's why hillary hasn't quit yet: because she can still win ... IF -- BIG IF ...
obama has a major disaster a la spitzer. yesterday no one would have thought spitzer would destruct like this, but these things happen. as it stands right now, realistically, obama's got it in the bag. HOWEVER, life happens as time goes on, and who knows what could happen in the next weeks and months.

hillary is pretty much reduced to hoping obama self-destructs. she can't really BEAT him. but he can still lose, and she can't benefit from that if she concedes.

and that's also why she's going so negative. because the only scenario that works is for a scandal to come out and she's laying the frame for any scandal to be seen as major enough to justify the superdelegates going to her side. that's the only chance she's got left. as a practical matter, the 65%+ victories she needs relies on the same thing, obama self-destructing.

so let her stay in the game until the clock runs out. nobody's going to whine her out of the race.

1. Obama won't be going all "Spitzer" on the Dems
I really don't think.

Just let it play out.

2. Obama has been packaged like the next great thing. A product. To think his image is real is to be
unrealistic.

You can bet the repukes have a barnfull of shit to throw at him if they get the chance.

Whining then would not be an effective strategy.

On the other hand we have a candidate that has withstood the repuke slime machine for years. She is nothing if not a fighter.

3. I think HRC is doing their job just fine
If June comes and she couldn’t come out with anything of substance on him, neither will the republicans.

4. She may be a fighter...
But it does not matter how hard ya kick ass if you don't have the popular vote.

She is too polarizing to win --- but you have heard that argument many times. Obama is inclusive, Hillary is exclusive.

8. Then she should suspend her campaign until something like that were to happen
Just wishing it will happen does not excuse the harm she's doing to the party.

10. So?
She could still stop campaigning. If he self-destructed, she could then become the candidate.

11. yeah, that would play real well in the general election
on the off chance obama self-destructs, she can't come across as the OBVIOUS runner-up, won by default.

13. Hilary needs to go become Gov. of NY state
That plays right into her ambitions, and I think it is a job she is well suited for.

this week the supermarket tabs both have supposed "scandals" on Obama. Coincidence? Remember, before Obama emerged as her primary opposition, they were running hits on Edwards.
