Regardless the fact Kerry isn't running in 08 I'm merely pointing out the hypocrisy of people throwing up the fact they wont vote for Clinton for her IWR vote yet they voted for Kerry in 04 over Dean. 17. Nice! You know, though, I think Obama should make a further argument that Clinton among others...

neglected their Constitutional duty to actually declare war. It is the responsibility of Congress to actually pull the trigger. I feel that it is highly UNCONSTITUTIONAL to ceede that authority to the President, thus everyone who voted for the resolution to authorize war should be condemned not only on the cost of the war, but also on their failure to uphold their duty.

Further, I think Obama should make it a campaign issue to state: "I tell you today, once and for all, that as President I will never declare war. The fact is that I cannot. The President does not have authority under the Constitution to declare war, and anyone in Congress who ever votes to authorize the President to declare war has shirked his or her Constitutional duty, and shown the greatest cowardice I can imagine - passing the buck of war and peace to someone else."
