Bill Clinton, "Like a Wet Blanket"
http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/3/11/182036/063

From CQ politics via Yahoo! News...

President Clinton worked the western part of the state while his wife was in the eastern half at the front end of a six-week sprint until Pennsylvania's primary.

"Hillary, Chelsea and I expect to cover Pennsylvania like a wet blanket between now and April 22," he said.

And from Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1)

wet blanket –noun

1. a blanket dampened with water so as to extinguish a fire.

2. a person or thing that dampens enthusiasm or enjoyment: Nobody asked him to join the group because he's such a wet blanket.

No words.

8. Freudian slip? Did Bill give away that the name of Hillary's
campaign strategy is "Operation Wet Blanket?" Everything we see indicates that if they can't win on message, they will try to extinguish voter enthusiasm and the vote itself.
