Wouldn't it be nice. Two strong, honest candidates... Both with great ideas. I suspect everything would be much calmer and upbeat around here. I miss Edwards....

2. Agreed.
I would have proudly supported an Edwards/Obama ticket. A Clinton/Obama ticket is more like a nightmare scenario for me.

4. Yes.
I wish John Edwards had stayed instead of HRC after South Carolina. Can you imagine a Edwards v. Obama primary race without HRC? We'd actually be discussing issues. He's a class act and this campaign wouldn't have taken the nasty turn it has.

And I could've voted for him or Obama in the GE regardless of who won the primary. He would never have engaged in race-baiting, even if he were losing.

The only reason we've gone this direction is b/c of Clinton.

8. No. I wish it was just Edwards.
Barring that, I'd prefer Clinton and Edwards, though I think it would be great if all three were still viable - it would be a more civilized debate if so. But ~sigh~ that's not what the media wanted.

26. You don't think she would attack Edwards as visciously?
If Edwards was in the same position Obama is in now, you can just imagine the kind of crap she'd be flinging at him? Do you honestly believe that she would have a civilized debate with anyone when she is losing?

31. Obama's flinging crap too, so please don't go there.
It's much more veiled, but it's there.

Heck, it was CLINTON who came out of one of the debates looking better when it was perceived that the two of them were ganging up on her.

13. yes
I miss Edwards in the race.
We need his unabashed populism.

Since Ronald Raygun, the business of government was helping business give us the business.

That has to change. Edwards seemed ready to do that.
Let's get media fairness back, and shut down the giant rw puffer.

If Edwards had ended up in the top two instead of Obama, I'm sure Clinton would be going for Edwards' jugular, too.

24. Edwards was my first choice too even after I got to know Obama. I was still skeptical of Obama even
...after his stump speeches and reading about his past because I've seen other black folk who go to Washington that don't like black folk.

I would still vote Edwards over Obama today...it'd be hard but...they are both great.

35. I admit, I wanted him out and for HRC and Barack to battle it out
But now, looking back, I'm almost positive that Edwards would have conducted himself with a lot more class. Back then, I was caught up in the historical significance of the first woman against the first Af. Am.
