Is this really that hard to understand?
He is the former president and she is the former first lady.
They are judged by different standards. They are seem through a different prism than most.
They. Are. Different.
It's not sexism to complain about Hillary Clinton.
It's Clintonism.
It's a bias against the Clintons.
I don't think it goes any further than that.
This isn't Barbara Boxer running. Or Kathleen Snebelius. Or Condoleeza Rice. Or Mary Landreau. Or Susan Collins.
It's Hillary Clinton.
People either loved or hater her long before this election process got underway. Some who didn't have an opinion one way or the other (however few that may be) are now choosing sides.
If they side against her, it's not because she's a woman. It's because she's a Clinton.
You either want to ride that bus again. Or you don't.
To judge all female candidates with the Hillary model is unfair to any female candidate that comes after her. Chances are, the next woman who runs for president isn't going to be a former first lady. So making assumptions about how America would be biased against a female candidate running for president is unknown, because our first test subject is an anomaly. It would be like asking in 1950 how America would handle a Catholic president - but instead of running John F. Kennedy, we run the Pope instead.
It's Clintonism, not sexism, folks. That's all I'm gonna say about that.
