Proof that Repugs want McCain to run against Hillary
Why do you think they are trying desperately to knock Obama down? When they obtained all of this negative info, why didn't they hold onto it? If they REALLY wanted to run against Obama they would have kept quiet. Then once he was the nominee, they would unleash all of the negative info that they had and "define" him as they did with Kerry. However, they let it all go out months before the general election for a reason. They want Hillary! Yes, the Obama negative info (Wright,Rezko, etc)will still be helpful to them in the general election but it would have been more powerful if they had waited til the general election. The reason they did it is that they are terrified that McCain will have to run against Obama. They know that Obama was underestimated BIG TIME during this primary (Hillary was inevitable) and it came back to bite Hillary in the butt! They don't want to take the chance of Obama doing the same in the general election.........

1. Right now they are testing to see which labels will stick.
It's becoming obvious that "angry black man" won't work, guess they're going to try a new one now.

3. Republicans hate Hillary so much they would love to be
able to trash her for 8 months straight.

All those talk show hosts are positively giddy at the thought.

I've been listening to them attack Obama, and while they do it, its a little half hearted.

4. That's some serious "proof" there, Sparky.
An uncharitable sort might also describe it as an unsourced, undocumented, pulled right of one's ass opinion, but that wouldn't be very nice, would it?

6. Hillary will get out the GOP vote
like nothing we've ever seen. This, after many of them are admittedly apathetic about McCain. Why throw the GOP a life preserver named Hillary?

9. In my neighborhood there are two well known elderly republicans.
They are husband and wife, both in their 70s. Neither of them have voted for a Democrat EVER. They both can and will tell you more than you want to know about how Roosevelt was an idiot, (Their notion not mine), and how ronald reagon was a better President than Washington, Jefferson and Kennedy combined. Yep true blue kool-aid drinkers! They hate Senator mCcain so much that the husband is thinking that he will sit out an election, that will be the first one for him ever! He MIGHT consider voting for Obama, but he is pretty sure he will sit this one out. His wife is behind Senator Obama all the way."...he is not really a Democrat you know and I just know this man can be trusted!" She told me that she will bring her husband around before the election.

BOTH of these people absolutely despise with a passion the name Clinton. They are so against the notion of him being in the White House again that they plan on voting for "mCCain as the lesser of two evils" as they put it. But they told me not to worry because they knew in their hearts that America was not so silly as to repeat such a mistake and that we will have Senator Obama as our President.

What do I take away from this? That the GOP knows it needs votes to win come November. It knows that it has an unhappy base but a base ready to spring into action to shut down Senator Clinton's bid if needs-be. The GOP plays to it's strengths by pushing for Senator Clinton as it's opponent because for them there will be a gain in votes for mCcain. They need every vote they can get so the polls will reflect a close enough race for them to electronically manipulate another win. Druggie rush limbaugh gets this too, that is the other benefit the GOP got out of rush's cross-vote scheme! The GOP knows that not even the MSM will be able to hide the HUGE groundswell of Obama supporters who will turn out to vote Obama into the White House.

That's what I think
