Kerry up by 18 in Connecticut
For the record, Connecticut is awesome.

http://www.newsday.com/news/local/wire/ny-bc-ct--uconnpoll0430apr30,0,6056003.story?coll=ny-ap-regional-wire

"STORRS, Conn. -- John Kerry continues to hold a large lead in the presidential race over George W. Bush among Connecticut residents, according to a University of Connecticut poll released Friday.

Fifty-one percent of those surveyed support Kerry, the Democratic presidential challenger, while 33 percent support Bush and 4 percent back Connecticut native Ralph Nader, who is running as an independent. Twelve percent remain undecided.

The poll numbers released were essentially unchanged from a similar University of Connecticut poll released March 29."

1. That is an improvement from Bush vs. Gore in 2000

In CT in 2000, it was Gore 59% Bush 41%
If 2/3 of the undecideds go to the challenger (as I have seen stated here on DU), we can predict a 59% to 37% win for Kerry. And if, say, half the Nader votes ultimately go to Kerry (with Bush picking up no Nader voters), we would have a 61% to 37% win for Kerry.
