This worries me in the GE.

http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/03/poll_one_quarter_of_florida_de.php

McCain already has an 11% lead in FL over Obama according to this fress PPP poll released today:

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Florida_Release_031808.pdf

We need to do something. McCain will sink the nation into a war based on lies again if we fail to capture the WH.

What can we do?

2. Either split the delegates down the middle
or seat the delegates but not the superdelegates.

3. What can we do?
Bury the McCain and the GOP in advertising and campaign appearances in Florida leading up to the GE.

Forget the delegates, the Florida voters need to take that up with their party officials next time they come up for reelection for screwing them over.

4. The DNC doesn't want the delegates or either state in the general election. Planned that way. nt

11. That doesn't get us anywhere.
As much as you may dislike their opinion, we need them to win.

13. So You Think The 48 States Who Followed the Rules Matter Less?
Those polls are useless.

16. I don't think that at all.
But pissing off two WHOLE states is not a winning strategy.

They need to have some sort of representation, even if it's just a big farce. Hillary or Obama, both need those states.

6. We will take our toys and go home if we don't get our way.
Just cause we broke the rules doesn't mean we should not get our way.

Two FL Dem leaders say so:

Florida Dem senator whines to the BBC....threatens DNC.."mutually assured destruction."

Yep, he threatens to destroy the party..

Heck, we even have a US Senator threatening Dean.

Bill Nelson threatens Dean that Floridians may not support the nominee.

I am just so proud of my state. We have acted so honorably during all this.

:sarcasm:

10. Hopefully by the time the general election rolls around, they'll forget about this
I can understand some people not liking how the situation turned out, but it's certainly not worth handing the election the Bush Clone.

12. I think they should seat half the delegates and strip the supers
That's similar to what the RNC did, so the GOP can't attack them for it.

No idea what to do about Michigan, now that a revote appears to be off the table.

14. What we can do
...is remind the DNC that just once in the last forty years has a Democrat been elected without FL --and that was in 1992, in a three-way race.

Seat the delegates.

17. 1/4 of Floridians might be dumber than a box of rocks
but..hey.. to get a plurality we would probably need a 150% turnout and for all the republicans to be using an October calendar page ..:)
