Pat Buchanan on MSNBC: "What we have is a weak President...
...with a very weak challenger as well."

Buchanan's reaction to the reporter's observation that no incumbent President in history has won a second term with numbers as weak as Bush's at this point in an election year.

Draw your own conclusions.

2. He also said he knew some Intellectual Conservatives
.. that would not be voting for Bush.

When asked how he would vote, he jokingly said he'd not voted for anyone except himself for President in so long .........

and left it at that.

6. Go Pat Go!
Has any Presidential candidate launched a campaign this late in the season, and been even semi successful? I still think Pat should jump into this thing.

4. Well, hell maybe we should encourage Pat to run again if he thinks Bush is
so weak. Wouldn't hurt a bit to have an traditional conservative running to siphon off some votes.

10. How we have morphed
Funny, I never ever thought of Pat as a traditional conservative. Always thought he was right wing fringe. I think after all that's been going on we will need to re-define everything all over again.

9. Sometimes Pat is right for the wrong reasons...
... and sometimes Pat is wrong for the wrong reasons. Just love him for who he is.

People like to underestimate Kerry. They've been doing it to him his whole career.

11. ...and the point was made on MSNBC just a few moments ago that...
...Kerry had been "written off" as a loss by many heading into Iowa too.

It will be interesting to see what the polls and pundits have to say after Kerry announces a VP.
