New Polls: Obama runs better than Hillary in WA, OR, WI, NJ, and Michigan
Washington: Obama over McCain 48-43; McCain over Clinton 46-43 Oregon: Obama over McCain 48-42; McCain over Clinton 46-40 Wisconsin: McCain over Obama 48-46; McCain over Clinton 50-39 New Jersey: McCain over Obama 46-45; McCain over Clinton 45-42 Michigan: McCain over Obama 43-42; McCain over Clinton 45-42
Both NJ and MI are statistical dead heats for both candidates.
2. McCain is going to have a hard time in Michigan
I'm well aware of the delegate fight for the DNC, but in the end that ends up being more of an inside baseball issue that should dissipate in the fall once we find a way top get those delegates seated at the convention.
The real bread and butter issue in Michigan is NAFTA, which John McCain thinks is so wonderful. He should come to Michigan with that message. Really. Do it.
3. McCain's numbers are artificially inflated at this point in time

for a number of reasons. Best to take most of this with a large grain of salt so many months before we have a nominee. Vaguely interesting but hardly gospel. Rasmussen is fine for entertainment value but their methodology has always over tilted conservative in their sampling.
5. That McCain would be over a dog bone is Hillarious! Obama will trounce McCain in the GE
These polls are making me laugh my ass off because the head to head match ups don't mean anything until we have a Democratic nominee and once that happens the Democratic candidate is going to send McCain into retirement. Obama is the next President of the United States for 8 years.
in my view. Do I think Obama runs better than Hillary in these states? Yes. But their results lately seem much more tilted toward McCain in comparison with other polls.
